I got home and told the family the "good" news. Although I wasn't happy about it, I dealt with it for the sake of my family. I told them that we were going to be heading out there tomorrow with a police escort. After I got done explaining what was going on tomorrow they headed off to bed. Once again I was up just staring out the window. This time I wasn't staring at the house I was staring at an empty space in the yard.
There was nothing there but my eyes were drawn to that spot. I walked over to the window and looked closer at the spot and there was a flower. It was a blood red rose fading into white. It was the most beautiful flower I have ever seen. It was weird because I have never seen a flower there before.
I quickly threw on a jacket and carefully walked outside making sure to make no noise. I walked over to the flower and sat next to it. I looked at it and noticed that the white was really bright. I went to the back of my house and grabbed a pot and filled it with dirt. I went back to the flower with a shovel and dug it up with the roots and put it in the pot I watered it and then went back to the house flower in hand.
When I got back I set the flower up on a high shelf that I could only reach with a step ladder. I went to bed knowing that my family was asleep and at peace. I looked around the living room and everyone was where they were the night before and then drifted off to sleep. I had a dream that night it was about the man with the splattered hoodie. I couldn't help thinking about it. I saw him looking at me through the window staring at me with that creepy smile. I don't know what he wanted to do with me, but whatever it was had me worried.
I woke up the next day and we told our neighbors goodbye after having a big breakfast. They got into my car and I drove up to the police station. When I got there the chief was standing outside waiting. I walked up to him and introduced myself. "Hello, are you officer Paul?"
"Indeed I am"
"Hi, I am Skylar, my family and I are supposed to get a police escort to a house found for my family and I by the fire department."
"Oh, yeah. I remember now. Okay I'll take you there right away."
"Thanks"
And with that I got into my car and we were heading for our new home. Finally, a chance to start over somewhere new. Am I happy about it...no, but I'll deal it because my family is happy about it. We drove for about two hours to CinderWoods. Then another five minutes to get to our house. Once we got there the police officer left and I was heading up to the front door.
