The beginning of the end

The summer breeze brushed past my sundress as I walked down the lane. 'It's a beautiful day today' i thought walking down Cloverfield lane. I and my sister had been walking for quite awhile now. "Are we almost there Amy?" My sister Addilane asked me. "Yes, Addilane we are almost there." We had heard news of what seemed to be "spaceships" in the sky."Do you think the spaceships are full of aliens?" my sister asked with a hint of excitement in her voice. "No that is not possible, is it?" I answered somewhat unsure myself.Oh, how I was wrong.The morning after a siren issued in our neighborhood."What's that?" my sister asked clearly scared."It's an Air Raid siren!" I said ushering her to the basement. "Come on we have to get down here!" I yelled over the loud sirens booming in our ears.As we headed down we could hear the distressed screams of our neighbors. I quickly ran to our radio to hear what was happening. 

       "Extraterrestrials have invaded earth.Please do not come out of your bunkers until further notice!" the person on the radio said loudly. "Amy I'm scared," Addilane exclaimed hold me in a tight grips tears slowly cascading down her soft, pale face. "You will be okay I am here." I tried to say in my most calming voice but even I couldn't stop the tears from falling.We sobbed into each other's arms for what seemed like hours but was only minutes. "I am going to go check to see if anyone needs help" I explain but get no answer.When I look back I can see the face of my sleeping sister.I grab the gas mask and place it on my face. I quickly slip on my father's army suit that was used for Air Raids and swiftly walked upstairs and out the back door. What I saw terrified me. Millions of dead bodies piled up.The smell of it all almost brought bile out of my throat. I turned to head back home and ran. I entered our house and ran downstairs.I took off the suit and gas mask and ran to the bathroom to puke. When I finished I walked back upstairs and grabbed almost all of our food and water. 'This should last us for a while.' I whispered to myself as I headed back down the stairs.

 "Amy?" I could hear the faint quivering voice of my sister. "Yeah" I replied."I am really cold." She says. I could tell that she was by the chattering of her teeth.I set the food down and walked over to the blankets we kept down here.They were pretty hefty and could warm us up instantly."Here I will come lay with you." I say as I put on my Pajamas and lay down draping the blanket over us. " I love you I whisper as I slowly drift into a nonpeaceful sleep. I am awoken by the crackling from the radio."Addilane wake up." I say nudging her. "Okay I will be up soon," she says even though I know she is just going to go back to sleep. "I'm going to get food.I'll be right back," I explained as I slipped on the outfit.I quickly closed my eyes once I got outside.This is going to be one long life.....To Be Continued
