Chapter 1: Mint gum and Cologne.

Danielle's past few days have been slammed. With running around the University campus between her classes, her dorm, and the library. She hasn't had a moment to stop and do anything but maybe grab a bagel or a coffee here and there to get her through all those classes. And studying. She can't even remember if she's had more then six hours of sleep in the past 72 hours. Dani grabs her things, heading out the dorm after finally taking a pee break for the first time today then rushes off to her next course, getting her phone out to see what Opal has texted her.

The two of them stayed the best of friends even though they ended up moving so far from each other for school. Opal and Danielle. The twins her parents would call them. They were inseparable until the day they went to college. Opal moved to Cali to study at Berkeley and Danielle. Well she also moved to California to study at UCLA. To go from living right next door to each other to living nearly seven hours away from each other has been torture for them.

Dani: Girl I am so sl-

Dani was finally in the process of compiling a reply to Opals' long list of texts she hadn't gotten the chance to get to yet.

THUD!

She bumped into a relatively hard chest, causing her to accidentally hit the send button on her unfinished text. The smells of cologne and mint gum filling her senses. She looses her balance, falling back and her book and papers fall from her arms. And just to her luck the wind starts picking up, bowing her papers all around.

"No no no!" She quickly bolts up, chasing her papers, snatching them up and stuffing them into her cross body bag.

The boy stumbles a bit and stops, picking up her books and glances at her watching as she's chasing her papers around.

Excellent time to be wearing a dress..
She thought and immediately knelt into a squatting position to stuff the papers she's so far collected into her bag.

"Shit.. I'm so sorry, love." An all too familiar voice broke her attention away from scrambling for her papers. She freezes. Knelt on the floor, in the middle of stuffing her papers in the bag and looks up to find those familiar chocolate brown eyes, staring deep into her own chocolate orbs.

"Tony? My Tony baloney?!" She gasps and grins.

"Shit.. Dani? Damn Babe. Now I'm really sorry." He chuckles, stacking her heavy text books into his well fit arms and offers her a hand. She looks him over, grinning wider and takes his out stretched hand, being pulled up in one quick swoop.

"Where you headed to? I'll walk you." He offers, flashing his all too famous cheeky grin, his eyes trailing the whole of her curvy figure. In the few years since she's met him, he still hasn't changed. Still her favourite, unapologeticly, cheeky, flirty, boy.

Opal: Girl did you just crash your car??!! What happened?! Answer me?!!

"Nope. I've got it. Thanks though." She smiles back at him, taking her books from his arms and starts off. Then goes back quick. "Thanks. Again." She smiles and kisses his cheek then jogs off to her next class.

"Yo ass don't know how to text anymore. Or call. I ain't heard from you in what.. six months?" He bites his lip, checking her out. "Also. Stop stressing and piling on so many classes girl. Let loose." He chuckles, smiling and jogs off.

She shakes her head, smiling at his advice.

Dani: Oh stars. I'm fine.. But guess who the heck I just ran into?!!! Tony. Tony Sex god Lopez. My hot ass friend I made when I got here a few years ago. I hadn't heard from him in like six months.

Opal: Oh shit.. Wait. Did you say Lopez?! I've seen him like all over tiktok and shit. He's hot!

Dani: Yes girl. Yassss! I still shamefully remember the first day I met him. And I called you and told you all about him. Also all about how I'd oh so very eagerly hand my v-card right over to him and ride that horse into the sun rise. Lol. Then he became like my best guy friend out here.
