The walkway took a dip Poneros wasn't ready for and her feet threw themselves into the air. Her rump crashed onto the rainbow and her white silk dress went up over her head. She was falling now, and the tangerine-silver walls encompassing her let way to something darker and definetly hotter. She pushed her skirt off her head and looked around the room. It was black and jagged rock everywhere. In one corner lava illuminated a ledge that cut abrubtly. The room was something circular. As her eyes adjusted, the jagged walls poked out more, and a chair for a king sat directly in front of her. She was starting to stand when something solid smacked the back of her head.
Hermes came barreling in tucked into the shoulder of the large lion, Pon. The odd couple boomed and crashed into one of the jagged walls, and disappeared. Poneros glided over to the site of their crash, and below her was a green acid pool. She followed the circumference of the room to find it was completely surrounded by green acid.
Once back around to where she started she began to worry about Pon, he was her immortilatity and if he died, she died too. She was a titan, possibly. Most believed so, too. If so, she should be below the underworld where there is no time. She could live forever, or die in an accident. She could be related to Achilles for all she cared. Poneros smirked at the idea. A sly smirk was the closest thing she could get to smiling. Actually, she used to smile. Laugh even. But that was with Ares. His temper amused her, rubbed off on her. Thats when her first fleck of her powers shone through.
The last time she saw Ares he was with Aphrodite. They were under the shade of a tree laughing. Aphrodite looked just like Poneros, through her eyes. Maybe, just maybe, Ares saw Poneros when he looked at Aphrodite. It just depends on what he considered to be the most beautiful look someone could have. Maybe Aphrodite was born from the river of Narcissus, and when Narcissus looked into the river he saw himself. He thought his reflection was perfect, and Aphrodite was born from the water. Poneros smirked again.
The real problem consisted of a lion giving a goddess her immortality and a shaggy-haired god with a wings spreading out his ankles. Something approached the corner of the goddess' eye.
She whipped around simultaneously spreading the brain waves. The waves were bright and fiery. She wasn't looking at just a god, she was looking at an Olympian.
"Well it seems to be the darling Poneros." said a ghost like figure. The silhoutte towered over her and gave a shadowy, see-through smoke look. The smoke billowed on the ground where she suspected was the god's feet, and his head hilled over where Poneros clued were his shoulders. The man spoke in a rough, dry, tone. When he inhaled, Poneros could hear the screaming of desperste souls in his heart. Poneros immediately liked him. This god was the god of death, the underworld. This god was Hades.
"Hello."
"Why do you find yourself here?" Hades turned his head so his neck alsmost semi-circled.
"Hermes," she pointed in the general area which his tunnel had fizzed out. "and he seems to have fallen into your acid pool."
Hades snapped his long, thin, smokey fingers. Hermes and Pon came crashing down onto the jagged floor. Hades didn't even glance to check their well-being.
"Why do you come?"
"We are just planning to overthrow Olympus and take control of the world, and since your very very powerful, we wanted to make you a deal." gasped Hermes
"Deal. Under conditions: I will take you into the weakest part of Olympus, and there i will rid of all things other than gods. Afterwards i'll safe haven you an underground path that leads to Poneros' land. In return i get a spot on the throne and marriage to Poneros."
