I'm back ^_^ Here is the next chapter for y'alls ;)

Maya Winter

That was the easiest English paper I've ever done. I set my head down on my bag. Thankfully, this is the last period of the day, and it's almost over. 10 more minutes.

I can't wait to get out of here.

Tyler Dean

Her hair seems brighter and...longer than usual. Hopefully, she understands this. Usually she understands prompts.

My parents have been on be about my grades lately. The last thing I need is something else to bring my grades down. Unfortunately, my academic abilities are...limited compared to last year.

I tap her shoulder. "Babe?" I say. A girl I've never seen before turns around. Oops. "Huh?"

"Sorry," I say. Wrong person. I look over her shoulder. She's already finished with her paper. In fact, the entire page is almost filled with her small, neat handwriting.

She obviously understands this. Maybe it would be a better choice to ask her. "Hey," I mutter. A girl with a face practically glittering with hope that I'm talking to her gives me her attention. "No, not you."

Her face falls. I tap on the blonde's shoulder this time. "Hey, sunshine," I say. She turns around. "Yeah?" she responds questioningly.

I grab my paper and gesture to its emptiness. "I don't get what she wants us to do," I say.

She leans forward. "Oh, that's easy," she tells me. I lean in with her. It takes about a minute for her to explain, but I finally understand.

"I get it now. Thanks!" I smile and wink at her and she grins. "Glad to help."

"Boy would I love to have you in my math class," I tell her. She chuckles resentfully. I look at her curiously.

"Then I guess it's your lucky day, 'cause I am."

Oh. Wait what? "Where do you sit?" I ask, a little embarrassed. Her face is as plain as a rock. "Next to you."

Wow. I really don't pay any attention in that class. It's my class with the best grade mainly because I copy all of my answers from Cody. He's the smartest of us, so I'm lucky I sit next to him. I don't really understand anything I copy, though.

"I...uh...anyways, what's your name?" I ask awkwardly. The smile returns to her face. Good save, Tyler.

"Maya Winter," she tells me. That's cool, I've always wanted to have a friend with a season in their name.

"Cool, I'm-" "Tyler Dean. Football player. Yeah, I think the whole school knows who you are."

That's true. I'm kind of hot stuff here if you ask me. For some reason I just got the feeling she hadn't heard of me.

The bell echoes through the school. "Seeya," I say her Maya. I walk out of the classroom quickly. Getting through the crowd at the end of the day is a difficult task.

When I am finally as to squeeze myself outside, I see Justin, Hunter, and Cody. My bus catches my eye before I can talk to them.

Pretending I never saw them, I load onto the big, yellow vehicle as it growls loudly. Every day I sit in a different seat, but girls always compete to sit with me.

I look around for a good seat, one containing someone who won't bother me while I decide whether or not to do my homework.

As I scan the place, my eye falls onto a particularly appealing seat. In it; the blonde haired girl from about five minutes ago.

"Hey, Maya. Mind if I sit with you? The competition for who is going to sit with me is annoying."

Wow, Tyler. You sound extremely full of yourself.

She rolls her eyes and nods. I plop down into the leather seat. "Hey Tyler!" It's that girl again. Heather? Yeah I think it was Heather.

She will not leave me alone. "I'm busy...doing...stuff right now! Can't talk!" I call back, pretending to be texting. A little giggle from Maya floats into my ear from the side.

"What?" I ask her. She shakes her head as the short giggles continue to escape her chapped lips.

"I'm busy...doing...stuff!" she mocks me, putting up air quotes at the word "stuff". I pout, jokingly, pushing my back up against the seat as she continues to laugh.

"Tyler!" she pushes my shoulder lightly.

I turn around. "Yes, your majesty?" I say sarcastically. The bus stops. We're at my stop.

I stand up to get off. She stands with me. Shooting a curious look at her, I step out of the seat. "I live in your neighborhood, Tyler," she tells me with an "all-knowing" look on her face.

I look away from her. "Oh." I step off the bus with her behind me.

Before I start walking to my house, I turn around.

"Bye, Tyler," she says as a bright smile showing her shiny white teeth spreads across her face.

I return the smile and subtly wave at her.

"See you tomorrow, Sunshine."
