We arrived at Olympus Mountain, everything looked bright and peaceful. First thing we did when I got there was, I was immediately taken to my mothers home, Artemis.

The chariot pulled up to a huge mansion. I hopped out of the chariot, and Apollo grabbed my bags with no struggle. A beautiful woman walked out to greet me, I figured she was Artemis but I was unsure of what my mother even looked like. I looked back at Apollo and he gave me a nod, read my mind and saying,

“It’s her.”

I looked back at Artemis, with wide eyes. I run up to her and she already has her arms open when I hug her.

“I’m so glad you’re finally her,” she said. “Your more beautiful every time I see you.”

I look up at her confused, “ When did I last see you?”

“I watch you from the moon on your birthday, every year.” She replied with a smile. My mouth formed an ‘o’ shape.

“Now, unfortunately we have to get straight into training considering you have only a week.”  She said in a more serious tone. I sighed and nodded my agreeing.

“What’s first?” I ask.

“We first must train you physically, than mentally.” She said.

“Again.” Said my trainer Phil, as I wiped the sweat off of my face. He was a small yet feisty little man goat. I was shooting a bow n arrow. I pulled back the arrow, my arms aching, found my target with my eye, and I released, it went landing straight into my target.

“Excellent,” said Phil “now do it ten more times.”

I sighed an annoyed sigh and got back to it. After ten times of hitting all my targets I could finally take a break. It was Thursday of my week of training. Tomorrow we had mental training with my mother Artemis. My ten minute break was over and  i had to go straight into agility and stamana. The good thing is from being on my cross country team I haed excellent stamana.

Today is Friday and I am with my mother in her office she is putting this equipment on my head to help me with all the anxiety and stress i have been having from the thoughts of battle. I feel as if i am ready physically, just not mentally. A sudden though hit me, i have no idea what a manticore looks like, its been described to me ive just never seen one.

"What do they look like? The manticore, do you have a picture?" I asked my mother.

"I believe that if i show you, it'll only make your stress worse." she replied.

"No, it'll be worse if i see them for the first time and dont know what to do becase of fear."

All of the sudden a loud howl was heard then an eair piercing scream.

"Well," said Artemis. "Looks like your about to see one."
