A Knight In The Woods

Amy Rose was bored. Being a guide was fun at first. Meeting Sonic again, well she understood why she loved him so much every time they meet but, it was different this time. Sonic showed his true colours. He showed her his true bravery, his true heart and down she fell. Further and further down into his soul. Into everything that was him. That made him. And he left again. He always leaves. He leaves me. It kills me when he leaves it breaks my heart. I will tell him. Today I'll tell him my feelings.

'Sonic The Hedgehog loves Amy Rose.' He said to his reflection. His golden armour shining like the sun. 'Today is the day I tell her!' He said smiling under his visor.

'Sir Sonic? What is the meaning for your dressing up?' Caliburn (or should I say Excalibur?) Questioned me with his patronising tone.

'I'm going to tell a girl I love her.' He said simply. 'And shes to scary to tell without some sort of protection.'

And with that he picked Caliburn up and walked out the door, only to be greeted with cheers of joy. The people of this kingdom were pleased to have been released from their tyrant of a leader the fake Prince Arthur.

'Thank you all for your hospitality, but if you'll excuses me I have to see a girl about a heart.' He called out to the expectant crowed.

Walking in the soft mossy woods Amy let out an annoyed sigh. She was lost. You gotta be kidding me she thought 'Your really gonna be a total dick and leave me walkin around this god forsaken place!' She screamed to no one in particular. Except maybe the trees. She hated trees. They were to damn perky.

'Uh excuse me?' A voice echoed from behind her.

She spun around to see a knight, he was suited up in full gold armour with a sword attached to his belt.

She swung her arms around his heaving armour and wailed. 'Thank god!' She moaned down his ear. 'I thought I'd never see another life form again! Well, that wasn't a tree.' She released the shocked (well she assumed he was shocked, she couldn't see his face under his helmet) knight and took a step back. 'Hello I'm A-- The Lady Of The Lake, it's a pleasure to meet you Mr.... I'm sorry I don't know your name.' She said bashfully.

She doesn't recognize me Sonic realised quickly. Well he thought this could be fun. I'll help here quickly before I go to see my Ames.

'You don't recognize Sir. Sonic?' Caliburn asked.

'SONIC?!' She gasped before pulling him into a bear hug.

'Sonic!' She spoke as though him being there was the best thing in the world. 'I always said you were my hero!' His cheeks flooded an intense red colour, he was so glad he had his helmet on.

'Um, hi?' He said sounding slightly scared. This girl reminded him so much of Ames already and now she even hugs the same as her! Jeez, Sonic! Get a grip! You love Amy!

Shoot! Amy thought gotta keep my act up. He really doesn't know I'm... well I'm me, She thought the idea saddened her. My Soniku doesn't see me.

'Ahem. Hello! Can I...err... oh! Help you with anything?' She asked falling over her words.

'Umm yes?' He said slowly. 'I need to find away to... my world. I need to tell someone amazing that they're amazing. She makes me go nuts!'

Nuts? Oh. Ow. There was only one person who would ever fit in that description. Princess Sally. A tear slowly fell down her cheek and she let out a loud gasp. 'Uhm... are you alright?' He questioned, his face was confused.

She was crying. What did I say? Amy- even an Amy impostor should never cry.

'Every time!' My Lady sobbed. 'Every time. You'll never choose me will you?! What just because I'm not royal? Just 'cause I'm not a frikin princess! You know what! I've had enough! It hurts more and more every time you shoot me down! I used to think you were playing hard to get. So I carried on with the "Soniku's" and the chasing you! Only because you attract so much danger that I wanted to spend every moment as though it was our last. You captivated me. You still do! No matter how much you love Sally.' She spat her name out like it was venom. 'I will always be your Ames. And you my Soniku. You are the only one for me. But loving you hurts to much. Let me go! Let me have a normal life, a happy life. A second chance. Cause loving you is like fire. And I hope you and Sally are happy together!' She ran into the crowded forest.

I stared after her. She called me... Soniku... Only Amy... But she said...Your Ames.... I ran after her, my armour somewhat slowing me down. Not to mention Caliburn's complaints.

'Amy!' I called into the forrest, I ran past tree after tree not finding anything. Until I came across a beautiful crystal blue lake. It glitterd in the bright sunlight. Sat beside the shining lake was a young girl, her eyes flooding with same crystal blue as the lake.

'H-h-help...' The girl sobbed. I knew I should have been tracking Ames down but I can't leave this girl while she's so upset.

'Whats wrong kid?' I said softly as I materialised in front of the girls weeping form.

'I-I-I Tried to s-s-stop her! B-b-but she... s-s-she...' Her tears swept down her face onto her silver dress, the girl looked about five or six, she was a brown squirrel with long black hair that rolled down her back in waves. She looked up at me with haunting grey eyes that seemed to absorb everything around her.

'Okay cupcake. Calm down and tell me what happened, slowly now. Remember deep calm breaths.' I was knelt down in front of her my hands on her shoulders, I removed my helmet and lay it down beside me.

'S-sh-she jumped... I-I saw her j-jump. I called out to her b-but... She didn't hear me!' The girl cried hugging her head to her knees. I looked up at the rocky ivy covered ledge above the lake.

'Who was it? Who did you see?' I asked panicked. The girl was in too much of a state to answer me so I threw Caliburn to the ground and dove into the icy water. It no longer held the same beautiful feel it did before. If water scared me before, this sure as hell ain't gonna help my phobia. I held by breath and moved my arms and legs quickly, but It wasn't working! I wasn't getting anywhere! Suddenly I felt myself sinking. My heart rate increased dramatically. Am I going to drown? Damn this armour! Its too heavy! I cant... air...need...

I plummeted to the bottom. My blue dress flowing outwards around my body. A single tear escaped my eye as the water entered my lungs. In my left hand I clutched a single blue rose in my hand. Sonikuu... I'm sorry... I can't live in a world without you... I thought as my eyes began to slowly come to a close.

Death is peaceful. Death is kind.

My spirit left my empty body. I floated up to the waters surface, my ghost like form left ripples on the lake. I walked over to a waiting form in front of me.

'Hello Sir Sonic.' The spirit healer stood before me her white wings keeping her slightly above the ground and her white hood covered her blueish grey face, I was more than tempted to reach out and touch her. She was the image of pure beauty...and I kinda wanted to see if my hand would go through her. She chuckled as though she had heard my mental comment. She probably could. The powers she held made mine look like nothing at all. She wore a white cloth that wrapped round her body, it rippled in the gentle breeze.'Are you quite finished with you analysis?' I blushed or something like that, I looked at my armour It was still golden and stuff but kinda see through. I poked myself out of curiosity and instantly recoiled my finger had gone through my hand. MY FREAKING HAND. I shuddered and let my hands rest at my sides. She laughed once more at my reaction before floating towards me bending slightly so we were at eye level she looked at me. And I saw everything.

I was wandering alone in the forest, everything was so clear if not kind of blue at the same time. I stroked the air around me, before falling to a heap on the floor. I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed but nothing dropped from my eyes. My spirit was broken. And so was I.

Chapter one of my new short story! Only gunna be a few chapters, infact it may only be two x3 Started this awhile ago, its a bit choppy but you should get where the pov's change but the last bit is of Amy, just so you know! Its kinda unpolished. I'll fix it up in the morning. Now, I plan on sleeping!
