It was just a regular Friday afternoon. The final school bell ran and Ethan was leaving his French lesson to meet with his friends at the lockers before heading home. He opened the doors and saw Grace talking to Lydia, Ethan walks over trying not to look like a weirdo in front of them. He takes of his blazer and undoes his top button, finally relaxed as he hates wearing that coat. He walks over to Lydia and starts talking to her about her lessons trying not to sound awkward. Not long after Katie and Erin arrive and open there lockers to get there jumpers as the other three wait impatiently.
They head down the stairs laughing about jokes you wouldn't often hear, as they leave the building they start to walk there own separate ways. Lydia and Erin leave out the main gate on the left, whilst Katie, Grace and Ethan head out the side gate. Grace and Katie start talking about Edwards big lips, and odd lamppost stories. Katie heads to the bus stop whilst Grace and Ethan walk down the right. Grace and Ethan continue joking when suddenly a voice stops them in there tracks, a very loud that only they seem to hear.
"What was that??" Grace questioned. "It came from over there." Ethan responded. "Lets go find out!!" Ethan ran across the road to the fields. "Wait!!" Grace yelled following behind dodging a car.
Ethan climbs over the fence and walks down the grass, he turns around to find Grace stood there in confusion and fear. "Come on then, what are you waiting for??" He asks her. "I'm not sure about this" she replies, "It's gonna be a monster down there or something is there, plus it's a bit of fun." He reassures her with a big grin on his face in excitement. "Fine!!" Grace snaps, almost annoyed that she believes him. She climbs under the fence and joins Ethan.
He looks around him trying to figure out where the voice came from, then he hears someone calling his name from the left. Grace turns her head to were Ethan is looking. "That's where we're going then...." He says sounding more nervous than he did in the first place.
