Hopelessly Broken
We fight and fight
Only to turn around and make up
In a failed attempt to make the hurt go away
The pain and mistakes that won't ever go away
We are all spun in a devastating web of lies
Broken beyond repair
We tear and tear and then start over on the corpses of our love
I am hopelessly broken and terrified
I fear that my weak heart will be stomped on with a lack of consideration
So instead I sit in the corner and cry from dusk till dawn
And once the light comes on I paint on the face that you enjoy the most
After all you wouldn't know the difference
We are hopelessly broken
We are blind with stitched lips and bound hands
Helpless to our own destruction
And once every blue moon
An angle approaches your wounded vessel
It unbinds our hands
Tear our stitches away
Removes the veil on our eyes
And at last we can feel again
We are awaken to life
The pain is no more
We are for a moment no longer
