Chapter 4 "The Accident"

Caleb POV

*RRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG*

The lunch bell rings, thank god! I walk off to the cafeteria and sit where my 2 friends sit, Claire and well... now Red "who's this Caleb? your new boyfriend" I punch Claire on the arm "no this is Red, we bumped into each other while going to our first class" Red just waved at Claire "you two would look cute as a couple" "Claire!" I put my hoodie on trying to cover up my blushing, I see Red blushing too "Thanks Claire you just made this insanely awkward" she puts her hand in a heart shape "its what i do best!" ugh so true.

I flick off my hoodie to see red looking directly into my eyes, making me blush. "SEE!! Its to cute!!" I look at Claire angrily, Red finally says something "Soo i hate to bring this up but... the accident?" Claire looks at me Confused. AT ME! "Wait you haven't told him yet?" they're both looking at me "we only just met, i'm not gonna tell him my whole life story when ive only known him for an hour!" Claire looks at me surprised "no need to lash out at me, can you just tell the poor boy what happened?" I sigh and and take a deep breath "ok so it wen't a bit like this..."

                                                                        3 Weeks Earlier

"hey dude, lets get some coffee, i'm dying for some coffee right now" i'm taking a nice cruise with my friend Tom. of course we decided to stop at a coffee shop called Zaraffas Coffee.

1 Hour Later

We hop back in my car and decide to take the freeway route home. its the quick route. while I was on the freeway I, for some reason, decided to floor it. I saw a car in front of us, but when I stood on the brakes, nothing happened. so out of sheer stupidity, I ripped the handbrake causing the car to spin out, keep in mind where doing 200kmh (145mph). the car spins out and runs the front of the car straight into a tree. now this car was my race car, I had a 4 point racing harness on so I got out alive, barely... but... the passenger seat had a normal seat belt so Tom was... no more.

                                                                          Present day

"but... how did your brakes not work?" Red asked "Well... I don't know but my car was completely crash proof, the engine was no more but the rest was merely fine, so I towed the car back to my garage and had a look at the brakes. from my examination, they were cut, my guess was the bandits did it. the bulls who bully kids around the school, especially me because... of my sexuality" I felt tears starting to form in my eyes, Red and Claire came over to comfort me. I cried on Reds shoulder. "*sniff* sorry its just... not fair" I wipe my eyes, lean against Red and pass out.

Claire POV

I see Red blushing like crazy as Caleb falls asleep on him "Red, be honest with me" he looks up at me "what is it?" I take a deep breath "do you have a crush on Caleb?" Red's eyes widen "well... ive never really dated anyone" Hes blushing redder than a tomato "cmon you can tell me, I won't tell Caleb" he looks down at Caleb sleeping "y-yes" a grin forms on my face.

"i'm pretty sure he has a crush on you too, just saying" Red blushing soo hard, I see where he gets his name from. thank you ill be here all week!
