[AN: Just a short about Oswald and inspired by the attached video, cuz it is just TOO GOOD~! Oh and SPOILERS but this is an AU where Oswald did not have Isabella killed!]

Oswald sat at a tall table in the Sirens club, he hadn't really wanted to go out, but Ivy had insisted. The most annoying thing was how Ivy had just run off as soon as she saw Selina picking pockets at the club. Surely the two were off somewhere, causing mayhem.

Oswald truly felt like he was surrounded by lunatics sometimes. Things had been so much better when he and Ed were still together. They were so perfect; colleagues, best friends, secret lovers... how did it go so wrong? It was all because of that stupid Isabella. It was only because she looked just liked Kristen that Ed even fell for her. Oswald had imagined over and over different ways he was going to kill her. In the end, he didn't do anything. He thought Ed would see sense. He just didn't realize the depth of the hold that witch had over Ed.

He looked up and around the club, the music was loud and everyone was having a good time. Except Oswald. There were no signs of Ivy coming back any time soon either. He straightened up, fixing his suit jacket, if he was going to be alone, he didn't have to be at this club, wasting time.

He was about to leave when a flash of a green suit caught his eye. Ed's tastes were always a bit questionable. He was standing at the bar with Barbara and Tabitha, two of Oswald's least favorite people. Where was Isabella? Wasn't she always with Ed, Ed claimed they were soulmates after all.

Ed glanced his way, but kept talking to Barbara. Barbara was laughing and she pushed Ed's shoulder, from what Oswald could tell, it looked like she said, "Go over there."

Ed seemed to take her advice and immediately started walking through the crowd, towards Oswald. Oswald smiled to himself, thinking how cute it was that Ed let Barbara encourage him to come over. He leaned against the table, he felt like building up Ed's hopes a little. It was his turn to play with Ed's heart.

Ed finally made it to Oswald's table, standing unnecessarily close to him, "Hello again."

Oswald raised his eyebrows, lips pursed into a forced smile. After all the time that's passed, that is Ed's opening line? "No," Oswald shook his head, bringing up a finger and wagging it in front of Ed's face, "Try again. Start over."

"I don't mean to play games with you, Oswald," Ed says it like he believes it. But Oswald wasn't so convinced. He smiled for a moment, making Ed think that he was believing everything he said. "You're not like everyone else, not like the women I've been with."

Oswald's smile faltered, replaced by his signature scowl, "Keep moving."

He was in no mood to listen to Ed drone on in a pathetic attempt to rekindle their friendship. But apparently, Ed was in no mood to leave, "I'm not with Isabella anymore."

"Did you kill her too?" He sneered. He didn't need Ed crawling back to him after getting a broken heart. Ed broke his heart and it was going to take a lot more than these words for Oswald to forgive him.

Ed swallowed, his expression darkening for a second. It'd been a long time since Oswald had seen that expression, he did miss it. Ed shook his head, "I realized I loved the idea of her. Not her." Oswald stayed quiet, forcing Ed to continue, "I also realized there's someone else I love."

Oswald leaned in a little closer, making Ed swallow nervously. He could see how there was still some of that spark between them. He smiled, "Congratulations, Ed." He pushed Ed, knocking his shoulder against Ed's arm roughly.

"I love you, Oswald."

Oswald spun around on his heels, facing Ed. He needed Ed to say it again to be sure he heard him correctly.

Ed swallowed, reaching out to rest a hand on Oswald's upper arm, "I do love you, Oswald."

"I hope you'll understand if I don't immediately believe you," Oswald said, but made no move to pull away.

Ed stepped in closer, impossibly so, "I miss you, Oswald. I find myself thinking about all the times we've shared; when you got me out of Arkham, the time you saved my life, all those passionate moments."

"You left me Ed," Oswald looked right into Ed's golden eyes, "You were with me for years and you left me for woman that you knew for a week."

"I was wrong," Ed held onto both of Oswald's shoulders, holding him tightly, "I wasn't thinking."

"And what are you thinking now?" Oswald willed himself to step back, but his feet wouldn't move, "That when Isabelle—"

"Isabella," Ed corrected.

"Isabella," Oswald put extra emphasis on the a. He knew what her name was, he just liked the rise he got out of Ed when he said it wrong. "So when Isabella breaks your heart, you'll come running back to me?"

"I never should've left you," Ed pulled Oswald a little closer. Oswald was powerless in Ed's grip, unable to refuse him. "If you give me the chance, I'll make it up to you. Whatever it takes."

Oswald grinned deviously. Ed doing anything for him? He liked the sound of that. "Maybe I can give you a second chance."

"What are you thinking, Oswald?" There was a slight hesitation in Ed's voice. That bothered Oswald.

Oswald shrugged, still smiling, "Well, there is one way you can prove to me that you don't love Isabelle anymore."

"Isabella," Ed was a little annoyed as he corrected Oswald.

"See, the more you do that," Oswald leaned in closer, "The more I wonder if you're putting me on."

"Of course not," Ed looked at Oswald seriously.

"Then prove it," Oswald snapped.

Ed looked at him for a long moment, his face relaxing, "I'll give you what you want. I'll take care of Isabella."

Oswald stepped back and out of Ed's grip, "Come back to me when it's done."

Ed reached out to grab Oswald's arm, "Will you wait for me?"

He looked up at Ed, he seemed genuinely concerned. Oswald figured he should be, after all they had together, Ed threw it away. Oswald was not usually so forgiving. He stepped closer to Ed again, looking into his face for a moment. Oswald leaned up, kissing Ed. It'd been so long since their lips had touched. Ed kissed him back, holding onto Oswald tighter.

Oswald pulled back, pulling his arm from Ed's grip. "The rest is up to you," Oswald looked into his eyes. He turned, walking out of the club.
