Still Jimin .
"Man, that weather outside is insane – Jeez Jungkook you look like crap" V suddenly said, looking between the two other maknae's, wondering why they were both already in the practice room.
"He hasn't slept because of the weather" Jimin answered for him, hoping the others would accept that reason and not start bothering the kid too much.
"Aww is our little baby tired?" Hobi joked in a childish tone, slinging his arm around Jungkook's shoulders, ruffling his already messy hair. The gang were in a playful mood.
Two harassed looking staff members came into the room, theirs ears glued to cell phones, glancing at each other while they spoke. The boys watched on with interest, wondering what was going on. When they finished, the two men gathered everyone in the middle of the room.
"Ok, we have good news and bad news" they began.
"The good news is, it looks like you have a more relaxed day ahead than planned"
"Yeah" Jin shouted out, while punching his fist in the air. The others looked round at him amused by his solitary outburst. Bad news was coming, it seemed too early to celebrate.
"This weather, has most of the management team stranded across the city. They just can't get here; flooded roads and fallen trees has stopped their access in" the staff continued the tell the boys.
"The bad news is, tomorrow we'll have to crawl back any lost time. It will be like hell on earth. We have a tight schedule to get these dances right. We just don't have any spare time to waste" they finished.
Jimin watched everyone's head fell at the news and a couple of low groans could be heard echoing around the room. An average day was hard enough, he could quite understand their disappointment.
But Hobi forced everyone up, pressing on with the routines, determined to get as far ahead of the game as they could. That way hopefully the following day could be slightly less grueling. They worked hard throughout the morning, but flickering lights and frequent thunderclaps were proving challenging for the group.
"Woah V, how much did you just flinch" J-Hope joked at the most recent rumble.
"Are you scared?" Jimin teased, pulling at Taehyung's cheek playfully. In return V threw his weight into Jimin's arms
"Yeah I'm scared, you'll need to protect me, Jimin-ah" Tae wailed loudly, making the others laugh, while Jimin tried desperately to get the kid off him.
After pushing V back into formation and continuing with the practice, it wasn't long before the next rumble came. This time Jimin was ready, and dodged Tae's advances, until they were chasing around the room, trying to catch each other. Yoongi grabbed a leg as they raced past, sending the pair flying into a heap on top of Jin.
In amongst the melee of arms and legs, the practice room door slammed shut, causing them all to look round. It wasn't instantly clear if someone had arrived or left, until Jimin scanned the occupants and noticed Jungkook was gone.
He quickly wrestled his way out of the pile of bodies and headed through the door after his friend, leaving everyone else wondering what the problem was. He found Kookie marching down the corridor, heading towards the entrance.
"Yah! Jungkookie, what's going on?" he called after his friend, but Jungkook didn't stop, just kept on walking away.
"I'm Fine, Jimin, just go back" he curtly replied.
"You're not fine, there's something bothering you. Tell me?" Jimin ordered, managing to catch up to his friend.
He was done playing the patience game, something was upsetting him and he wanted to know what it was. He reached out to grab Jungkook's arm, but quickly found himself being pushed against the corridor wall. Jungkook's palm pushed firmly against his chest, holding him in place.
"You want to know what's bothering me? It's you. You're driving me crazy" Jungkook snapped.
"What?" Jimin questioned, taken aback and frowning with confusion. His reply must have come out a little more timidly that planned, because Jungkook quickly looked shocked at his own behavior, those round eyes of his growing wide. He quickly pulled away the hand that was on his chest.
"Tell me what you mean?" Jimin asked again, with some panic in his tone. Jungkook had no idea how important he was to him. The kid was his best friend. The thought of them falling out. The idea that he was annoying him somehow, just didn't sit right. If he had done something to upset Kookie, he could stop, he just needed to know what it was.
But Jungkook didn't answer. The taller maknae just stared at him, then took a step closer, a step much closer. The small action made a big impact. Jimin felt his heart thump as he returned his friends gaze. He could see Jungkook wanted to tell him something, but whatever it was, seemed too difficult to express. The whole exchange started to feel a little too intimate and when he caught Jungkook's stare flitting to towards his lips, Jimin felt his breath leave his lungs.
Hey, Hey, what's going on?" Namjoon called, quite urgently, moving rapidly towards them down the corridor with Suga in tow, staring at the scene that looked a little too intense. He peered around as he approached, staring at the large window in the reception foyer, out into the stormy morning sky, then searching the corridor walls for CCTV camera's mounted up high.
"Let's not stand in front of the window shall we. We don't want some unsuspecting sasaeng fan getting an eye full of something they shouldn't" he suggested. Jimin felt Namjoon put an arm over his shoulder and pull him gently away from the scene.
"Come on, we need to get back to practice" he urged.
Jimin's heart continued to thump, as he let himself be ushered away from the scene. He glanced back to see Jungkook being pulled away in the opposite direction by Suga. The beautiful, golden maknae held his stare as they parted, until Jimin turned a corner and could no longer see him anymore.
