The Forgotten~ By Auna

A shaded figure

Forgotten by the world

A silhouette

Of a once loved girl

The rain falls fast

Blurring the streetlights

Shadows play their hidden games

As she begins her lonely nights

The leaves rustle

The night is alive

Reaching to take her broken soul

Only a matter of time

Silent footsteps

Regretful tears

A subtle beat of a broken heart

Trying to stand tall in front of the fears

A barely breathing story

A tale the world has left behind

A fragile heart

Broken in a search to find

Something snaps

Someone cries

People beg for her return

But nothing is seen in her empty cold eyes

The road grows narrow

As she walks toward nowhere

Trying to reach back

To who used to care for her

Whispers follow

With every step she takes

Memories haunt her

With ever move she makes

Her body screams

To turn around

But her heart keeps searching

For what is never to be found

A shaking hand

Removes soaked hair from her own eyes

A gesture he repeated

So many times

But that was

Very long ago

The smile that he once gave to her

To another girl he shows

She holds no place

In his mind or his heart

Forgotten she walks

Slowly falling apart

She sings their old song

A desperate tone and a crying key

She screams his name

But he doesn't turn around to see

Theres nothing left

That needs to be said

To her one night over

One day closer to being dead
