The figure looked up as the car pulled to a halt, they stood up as I opened the door and climbed out before running over and taking them into my arms.
"Hello stranger, I've missed you so much! What are you doing here?" I cried.
"I've missed too babe. And you know. Touring and that. We were always gonna come straight here last night instead of going to a hotel. But I didn't want to be walking in at silly o'clock in the morning. So I didn't tell you, I was going to try and surprise you all before you left with the boys this morning, but I guess I just missed out." The Irish accent replied. "So, how are my favourite girls? Any plans for today?" He said, walking over and taking Teagan out of her car seat, she awoke and immediately starting grinning, they were all definitely daddy's kids.
"Well I was going to tidy up a bit, go buy Olly a cake. And then just chill before mayhem when I have to pick them up, get them ready and take them straight into town for tonight." I said as we walked into the house.
"Well. You've got me to help you now" Timmy smiled. "As long as I'm at the venue for half 4 then it's all good".
I made Timmy a cup of tea and watched him for a while as he played with his daughter on the playgym. I loved the fact that he was so good with the kids, even if he did miss out on spending a lot of quality time with them due to his work commitments. After a while I finally went upstairs to tidy up the kids bedrooms. It was a lot easier considering I didn't have to watch the little one, 3 out of the 4 bedrooms were cleaned, vacuumed and dusted within an hour but now I was onto Arkin's room, which was by far the worst. It took forever just to sort out getting all the clothes in his drawers neat and in the right one, then just as long to get all his toys off the floor. The dusting and vacuuming was the easy part, and by half 11 I was back downstairs, smiling at Timmy lying fast asleep on the sofa with Teagan laid asleep on his chest. I did all the cleaning up I could downstairs without being too loud, before the time eventually came to wake him up as I had to go into town to buy Oliver a birthday cake, and he insisted on coming. We took the car into town and decided to have a quick bite to eat at a little cafe first. After having some tea and sandwiches, we started making our way to the cake shop, and after getting stopped a couple of times by some fans, then bumping into Darren and the guitarist Louis who were out shopping, we eventually made it to the shop just before half 1. Let me tell you, Timmy is the fussiest person ever for choosing cakes. By the time we finally got home, it was time to leave to pick the boys up and considering that we were going to walk down, so it would be easier for Tim to surprise them, then we had to rush. When we got to the nursery we were just a few minutes late. Luckily, the manager was in her office, so we could get straight into reception without having to ring the bell and wait to be let through. We decided Timmy should wait in reception while I went and got Arkin from his room. When I walked in I was kindly greeted by one of the staff, who explained that the remaining children were outside, so we walked into the nursery garden and called him, straight away he came running over and gave me a big hug, then ran back off to his friend.
"Come on Arkin, we've got to be quick today. There's someone who wants to see you." I said as I walked over to him.
"They want to see me? Is it Santa?" Arkin said, dropping a toy and standing in front of me.
"Why would Santa want to see you? It isn't Christmas yet" I asked.
"Because I was naughty" he replied, looking down at the ground.
"Yeah, him and another little boy got into a bit of a squabble earlier. It all ended in tears. But we followed the necessary procedures and he's promised not to do it again. Haven't you?" The staff member said. Arkin nodded, looking up at us both with puppy dog eyes.
