"Aye! Let's get some soda beers at Brewers by the Beach?" Harper asked me

"Yeah. Sure!" I agreed right away

We walked on the streets of West Palms. Neighbors would wave their hand whenever they see us. It's like we are politicians but we're not.

It was six in the evening and we are on our way to the Brewers. There are bikini babes on their way to the beach (maybe they'll try to sit on the sand and do a bonfire thing), partygoers to bars and nightclubs and some conservative people who prefer walking after sunset.

We reached the Brewers and it seemed so silent.

"Aye! Leo! Two golden boys please!" Harper yelled

He showed the sign of silence and served us two beers.

Then a music played, classical and like grieving?

"What's happening?" Harper whispered to Leo

"Blair Oakwood, your best friend is in coma. Better go to the hospital. He's been there for a week now and they just declared his status, comatosed"

Leo the bartender, whispered to Harper

"Oh Jesus! Do you have the keys?" He asked with his face frustrated

"On the locker room, beside the attendance machine, the time-in thing" he said

Harper immediately ran to the locker room. Few minutes later, he dragged me out of the Brewers and took a car from the parking lot.

"Hey..Harper!"
I said while catching his attention

"Harper...keep calm"

He still moves like a frustrated guy

"Harper! Keep Calm! The hospital is just three miles away! He'll live!" I said

"Can't calm myself. I owe my life to Blair." He uttered

"Keep calm and drive" I whispered to him

He drove the car the safest he can. There's traffic but he avoided it immediately.

We reached the hospital, parked the car and rushed to the nurse's station.

"Do you have a patient named Blair Oakwood? I think he's in coma" He said to the nurse

"He's in a private room sir. Room two hundredth and seventh"

Harper rushed while I was left at the station.
The nurse was staring at me

"Err. Thanks" I uttered then ran to Harper.

I followed him to room two hundredth and sevent where he saw his bestfriend laying down in a deep sleep with no signs of consciousness. Harper rushed to him and hugged Blair tight. Blair's mom was there sleeping while on her duty as taking care of Blair.

"Harper, I'll just grab a coffee at the hallway. Do you want one?"

"No, just go"

He just said. So I got the permision and went to the hallway or the waiting area.

A coffee vendo is available so I inserted a quarter, pressed the chocolate flavor and waited for the hot cup to drop and filled.

After those, I took the hot cup and sat on the metal chairs provided.

Beside me is a girl in a teenage dress of 1990s. She's blonde and white. Aside from the blue dress she wore, on her feet is a leather shoes.

I thinks she's a model. She sat like striking a pose. I feel embarassed as a guy because she's like a girl going to a formal event and I'm like a spoonfed kid on a tank top and sweat short with an old sneaker.
