I Found Your Group (Carl Grimes)

Chapter 5

I caught up with all of adults who were sitting at a table. One by one they went around the table and told me all of their names.

"Hi I'm Glenn."

"I'm Maggie."

"I'm Beth. We can call you just Bethany so we don't get mixed up."

"I'm Hershel."

"I'm Mochonne."

"I'm Carol."

"I'm Daryl."

Bethany: "Nice to meet all of you!" I gave them all a smile. "So what are the plans for anything?"

Daryl: "Well there is a town called Woodbury and "the Govenor" said we either leave or stay and fight. So here is our plan...."

Daryl tells us this brilliant plan that might actually be really successful.

Bethany: "Wow thats really clever."

Glenn: "Yeah we have been working on that plan for a while."

Bethany: "Well I think it is going to work."

Rick: "Glad you think so. Hey has anyone seen Carl?"

Bethany: "Oh he is taking my siblings on a tour of the place."

Rick: "Oh well why don't you go catch up with them. You are still a kid you don't have to do all of the adult stuff yet."

Bethany: "Oh okay!" I run off to try to find Carl with Jack & Maddie. They are outside looking at the crops so thats where I was heading. I went out there and approached them. "Turns out the adults didn't need me after all."

Maddie: "Oh okay well Carl here was just telling us about what kind of crops they are growing here."

Carl pulled me over to the side.

Carl: "We will just be a moment be right back guys."

He took me to near the edge of the fence. There were some walkers there of course but we just ignored them.

Carl: "You don't always have to be brave you know...You don't have to act like you have this huge responsibility now we are still kids. Trust me my dad told me the same thing when I was trying to take things over and it really opened up my eyes."

We walked across the fence the walkers moaning and some were following us. It wasn't really a big deal if I get bored later I know I have something to do.

Bethany: "Oh but I do. I have to be a role model. I have to know what to do. I was the one who drove to my dad's work. I was the one who talked to your dad about staying here in the prison. I was the one who got Maddie & Jack all set and safe. I was the one who stabbed my mom..."

Carl: "You can cry you know? I'm right here. I know what's that like...I had to shoot my mom after she died in a seasection to my sister Judith."

Bethany: "No I'm okay I promise. I'm sorry you had to do that to your mom...at least I'm not alone."

Carl put his arm around me in a friend kind of way and I put my arm around him.

Carl: "Let's head back. It's almost lunch time probably canned fruit and beans again..."

Bethany: "Oooo delicious." I say sarcastically.

We make it back to Jack & Maddie.

"Common guys lunch time!"

Jack: "Alright lets go!"

They ran up to Carl & I. Maddie held my hand and Jack just walked with us. We walked back into the kitchen just as we were, Carl and I had our arms around eachother, Maddie holding my hand, and Jack walking on the left side of Maddie.

Hey Guys!!

Sorry it took so long for me to post this chapter! I have been really busy with school and family drama but I'm back! I will try to post as much as I can but I don't know. I felt like this was a boring chapter so maybe thats why too haha! I have bigg plans for this fanfic and if you are not caught up on season 4 I'm just warning you there will be scenes from some of the episodes that may be the same with my own twist on them so just saying haha!
