Chapter 1-

There was a certain simplicity and normality about their relationship.

They've decided that everyone is just 'thrown off' by how black and white, how simple, it is and that the homophobes only hate their relationship because they were scared, one might even say jealous.

It was an oddly cold spring morning, Dean drove up to the school in his 1967 Chevy Impala, he had named it Baby; because it was truly that. It was his baby. He opened the door and got out, next his boyfriend Castiel got out. Dean was big mister jock, who if you said anything to him about his boyfriend, he'd kick your ass. On the other hand, his boyfriend Castiel, wasn't so much. He was what kids like Dean would call "a nerd".

But Dean never called Cas that, he only gave him endearing nicknames like Angel, sweetheart, darling, babe, things of that nature. Cas wasn't too affectionate at first only because their relationship wasn't widely accepted. Dean knew of how self conscious Cas was and rarely mentioned it. Today Dean was wearing a black t-shirt, jeans, and his favorite leather jacket passed down from his dad. Cas was wearing a white button up t-shirt, a blue cardigan, slacks, and Deans varsity jacket. Dean slung his backpack on his shoulder and waited for Cas to get by his side. He remembered something about Sammy's lacrosse match today and took a mental note that it was at four.

Castiel sighed heavily and intertwined hands with his boyfriend.
"At least it's Friday." Dean commented.
"Yeah." Cas agreed and attempted to put his head on Dean's shoulder, but his attempt failed because the football player was taller than him. Dean looked down and laughed lightly. Cas pulled his hand away once they entered the building.

It wasn't half way through lunch where someone shouted "Queer!" at Castiel who was peacefully reading his book by Dean. Almost immediately, Cas sat up as Dean jumped to his feat. He cornered the guy who was now cowering in fear. Dean grabbed the front of the boy's shirt and scrunched it up in his fist.
"What the fuck did you just say?" Dean threatened.
"N-nothing, man I wasn't talking to you."
"Yeah, but you were talking to my boyfriend." Dean snarled. Dean's coach came up from behind him and grabbed his shoulder.
"Winchester! What the hell are you doing!?" Dean unclenched his fist and let the boy drop.
"I'm sorry sir, but he-he.. Ah it's no use anyways.." Dean shrugged and looked back to Castiel who was watching the scene pan out. He gave an awkward smile to Dean.
"Listen son, you can't be picking fights like this, especially so close to the end of the season. Boy, we need you. You and your boyfriend can eat in my office if that makes you feel any better. Winchester we can't risk this." Coach Carter nodded towards Cas. Cautiously Castiel walked to them. He approached his boyfriend and the coach who was shouting to Dean and waving his hands around frantically. Dean turned to Castiel.
"Does that sound okay, Cas?" Dean smiled down at the smaller boy who had his varsity jacket on still.
"Yeah, that's fine." Cas tried to smile to the coach, he was pissed right now. Pissed at the guy who called him a queer, pissed at Dean for not punching the guy in the face, pissed at the coach for stopping the fight. Castiel maintained his mellow exterior and pulled Dean back to their lunch table.
"I should've punched him baby." Dean grumbled to his plate of cafeteria food, he had lost his appetite.
"It's okay, don't worry about it." Castiel soothed, he smiled up at Dean as the bell rang.
"Why don't we skip study hall?" Dean smiled.
"Where would we go?"
"We could drive around. Go back home, it is the end of the day."
"Okay." Cas grinned at how dorky Dean was being, he grabbed Castiel's hand and guided him away from the crowd of the lunchroom and towards the doors. Once they reached Deans car, Castiel stopped and kissed Dean; hard.
"I know I might not act like it.. But I love you a lot, Dean Winchester.. A-and I don't ever want this to end." Dean smiled and kissed Cas again.
"It's okay baby, I know you do.. And I don't want this to end either, but honestly.. I feel like I'm just going to wake up and you'll be gone. This is too good and you're just too perfect." Dean looked down at his shoes and gave a sad, small, smile.
"No, darling. This is real.." Dean looked up and smiled at Cas.
"Don't worry about it." Castiel continued and kissed Dean. They got into the car and drove off.
