The Surprise-the rejected wife one shot

Jessie's POV

I was getting dressed in a lacey sleeved purple dress when my husband Edward walked into the room.

"Hello Beautiful." He said while looking me over.

"Hey. Are you exited to find out what your surprise is?" I said in a way that made his eyes widen. I laughed while he still seemed dazed.

"Surprise? You have a surprise for me?" He said in a husky voice trying to sound seductive. 

"Yep. I'm going to tell everyone the surprise tonight at dinner." I laughed as his face turned red with embarrassment.

With that he muttered something under his breath about me always tricking him and walked out of the room. I laughed again and continued getting ready when my two best friends barged into the room.

"What are you two doing here?" I asked in confusion while they just shared a glance.

"We heard you have a surprise for everyone." Sarah said while eyeing me waiting for something.

"Yeah and?" I asked them while they looked like they were getting pretty impatient.

"Well can't we know early?" Courtney asked.

"Nope." I said while popping the P.

"Aw come on Jessie! It must be a pretty good surprise to make my brother's face look like a tomato on steroids." Sarah said while nudging my arm.

"Nope." I repeated my way of saying the word.

They both grunted while leaving the room. Jeez they act like they own the place. The only reason I gave Courtney the key was so she can help take care if my dog Bogie whenever i'm gone. Speaking of the devil Bogie ran into the room wagging his tail and attempted to jump on my lap but couldn't because my legs were under my vanity.

I laughed and picked up my dog and patted his head. Edward and I adopted him after we got married three years ago and ever since then Bogie acted like he owns all the blankets.

I set him down and had to use a hair roller to remove the fur from my dress. The I continued to get ready.

~~~~~~~~~AN HOUR LATER~~~~~~~~~~

I was now at my parents house with two bags full of balloons. The balloons would reveal the surprise. 

"I would like everyone to sit down please." I said while shifting uncomfortably. I wasn't sure if this would work but I hoped it would. My cousin Landon sat down by his wife Karen and their two year old baby Jake. My uncle Alex sat down next to Uncle Nathan and Mickey and Minnie sat by each other. My brothers looked concerned but I ignored their curious looks. 

"Is everything okay sweetie?" My dad asked while grabbing my moms hand.

"Everythings fine i'm just a bit nervous." I said while smiling at my parents. Edward seemed really concerned too. I grabbed the bags of balloons and began passing one out to everyone. They each had a needle taped onto them and people began popping each one of their balloons. Mom and Dad were sharing a balloon and when they popped their balloon and were confused when nothing but confetti came out. Everyone was just as confused when they got the same thing. 

Everyone looked at Edward as he popped his and confetti flew out of his. But there was something else in it too.

Edward's POV

I popped my balloon and looked down as I saw confetti all over my lap. I have no idea what Jessie was trying to do but I was a bit scared. I ran my hands through the confetti until I felt something. I picked it up and it seemed to be some sort of stick. I turned it over and realized it wasn't just any stick. It was a pregnancy test. 

I looked at it and it said positive. My eyes welled with tears and I looked at Jessie who had tears in her eyes as well. 

"Is this real?!" 

I stood and picked Jessie up.

"Is it?" I said looking into her eyes.

She nodded her head yes and we heard some squeals and gasps. I spun her around and kissed her.

"MY FISHYS CAN SWIM!!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs while everyone laughed. Jessie was soon squeezed by her brothers and everyone took their turn to hug her while I got hugs and pats on the back. But Uncle Will's face was blank.

We all turned to look at him and Jessie seemed terrified. I grabbed her hand as Uncle Will stood up silently and walked towards us. He had tears in his eyes. He hugged Jessie and I.

"I'm so proud of you guys." He whispered and Jessie cried out in joy and hugged him tightly.

We spent the rest of the night talking about the baby and we were all having fun together. Jessie laid her head on my shoulder. My life is perfect.

Hi people! I hope this was okay @penguinlover4life and I just really wanted a scene like this so it was an honor to make it. I'm sure there were errors but overall i'm proud of it. Also Edward and Jessie's dog is based on my dog in real life.
