Chapter 11: Boy Troubles

After telling her secret to the majority of her new friends at Hogwarts, Calyssa felt a huge weight lift off her shoulders ,and she finally got her first full nights rest in a long time .

In fact , she was so well rested , she was the first to wake and dress , followed by Hermione who was surprised at how early Calyssa had woken .

"What are you doing up so early ?"she asked

"I don't know, It just felt good to get an early start on the day ."

"And you're sure it's got nothing to do with the fact that I promised to point out Adrian Arlington to you today at breakfast ?"

"Honestly , I'd almost forgotten about that ! But now that you mention it , I am quite curious to see him."

"Uh Huh , sure we'll go with that ." Hermione said , smirking all the while .

Nearly all of breakfast had gone by when Calyssa said

"Where is he Hermione ? Why hasn't he come down by now?"

"I don't know Lyss , Harry , did you see Adrian come out of the sixth year boys dormitory with Fred, George and the others ?" Asked Hermione

"No I don't think he came out with them ."

And just when Harry had finished speaking , out from the staircase emerged the most attractive human being Calyssa had ever seen in her entire life . With warm brown hair , and kind sky blue eyes , she hoped to Merlin that he didn't have a girlfriend. She was about to ask who he was until she read her friends minds .

"That's him isn't it ." She said
"That's Adrian Arlington."

"How did you - "

"I read your minds , if it wasn't already obvious"She says without taking her eyes off him .

"You can't keep looking at him Calyssa! He'll think you're some loony !" Said Ginny

Yet despite the warning , she continued to look , and when he looked back at her , meeting those intensely vibrant blue eyes , she felt as though her heart might fall out of her chest , and was forced to tear her eyes away .

"Calyssa!" Said Ginny

"Now he's staring at you !"

"Not to mention asking his mates about you all the while ." Added Hermione

"I think we should leave ." Said Calyssa out of nowhere , grabbing Hermione and Ginny and standing up

"What why ?" Said Ron , his sound muffled by the chicken he was munching on .

"I just want to get back to the common room , I left my Herbology Book in there ." She said half convincingly .

"Right ..." Said Hermione.

As they got up , Harry asked what was on everyone's minds

"Ron , how'd you get chicken mate ? It's breakfast ?"

"Yeah , that is rather odd" Said Hermione

"Dunno i just found it ."

As they walked to the common room , Ginny was confused as ever , asking Calyssa about a million questions a minute .

"Lyss? Why are we really going to the common room ?" I thought Adrain staring back at you was a good thing ?" And why did you stare at him so weirdly in the first place ?"

"As fast as Ginny is speaking she does have a point , it was quite odd how you abruptly stood , dragged us with you and practically ran out of the Great Hall ."added Hermione
