Her name was Nana, and she loved to talk.

Talking was like a passion, a fiery sensation of glee. You could talk about anything, anywhere, anytime.

But talking is useless when there's nobody to listen to you.

Eleven brothers and sisters surrounded her everyday, practical clones of each other.

But there was one difference.

All of them had their own quirks, their own uniqueness. They were all special.

Nana wasn't. She blended in. Hardly anybody in her family could distinguish her first try. It made talking very difficult.

She felt alone.

Talking suddenly became tiring.

Nobody listened, nobody cared.

Nana was afraid. Afraid of being forgotten, afraid of being left out, and eventually fading out of the picture entirely.

Then she found the solution.

Change.

Change who you are, how you talk, look, act. Stand out.

So she built a mask, delicately crafted and so precise it could've been mistaken for her real face.

The perfect mask to hide the common wearer.

And change she welcomed with open arms.

She talked differently, called herself 'Kawaii~Chan', started baking for a hobby, willing to do anything to just be different.

It worked.

She was so pleased with herself, her parents and siblings could finally tell her apart form the rest of them!

But at the end of the day, her mask still remained on her face. No taking it off, not once.

She didn't want to be Nana anymore.

She wanted to be Kawaii~Chan.

...

But you can't run from who you are.
