The Last Episode of Boys Over Flowers Should Be According to me
JP: “Sorry, who are you?” (after waking up from his accident, to Jan Di)
(all shocked)
The mafia kid: “JP! Seriously, you don’t remember?”
JP: “Should I?”
JD went out from the room, hurt beyond imagining.
Later on that night, only Ji Hoo (name? I don’t know, the soulmate of Jan Di, what ever his name was) came in again to JP’s room. Btw, I don’t think Yumi should exist in this episode what so ever, she’s a total distraction and nuisance.
JH: “Any headache?”
JP: “Ji Hoo, listen to me. I’m only going to say this once cause I don’t think I can repeat it again. I saw you and Jan Di on the beach.”
JH: (shocked) “JP, it’s not what you think...”
JP: “No, listen. You were right. I should let her go if me loving her would only cause her pain. It’s not giving up, it’s letting go because I love her enough to do so. She should never know that I’m pretending to forget her cause of the accident, JH. You have to promise me that. Nobody should know. It’s the only way she’ll move on too. Only to you, JH. I’m only letting her go to you. Take care of her. Please.”
JH: “JP!”
JP: “Tell me, do you love her?”
JH: (quiet)
JP: (reaching for JH collar and pulled him in) “Tell me!”
JH: “Yes...always.”
JP: “Yes, even when I didn’t see her as I do. You loved her even then. I do see, JH. I do, finally, see.”
The incident in the swimming pool in the final episode, except it was only to announce that JP is going to America to study, no Yumi. JD jumped into the pool, only to be saved by JH. JP looked on with blank and unrecognizing eyes.
JP: “I know I’m supposed to remember you. I’m certain that you were meaningful to me then. I sincerely apologize that I can’t. Will you let me move on?”
JD: (looking directly to JP’s eyes) “Move on?”
JP: (bowing and left)
Four years later... The Jon Duan guy got together with JD’s best friend. JP comes back to Korea with JK (JP’s ex-fiancee) who he met again when he studied business in MU and got married in the US. JP in the car with JK, watching JH and JD who’ve gotten married while still being students in the medical school. JH and JD are talking inside grandpa’s still closed clinics, JD’s arms around JH’s neck with her cheeks right beside his. They’re laughing.
JK: “Why are we here? Do you still love her?”
JP: “Are we being brutally honest?”
JK: “I told you I could endure her. You don’t need to answer me.”
JP: (smile) “But I love you too”
JK: (smiling) “I know. Why did you let her go?”
JP: “I can never love her the way JH does. She will always be judged by everyone because of her class. She will never be totally accepted by my parents. She will always have to prove herself, even though it’s not for me. Slowly, my feelings for her would be the exact thing that would kill her. That would kill every reason why I love her. She can never be just JD, not if she stays with me.”
JK: “I do love the way she is. Even if I have to share you with her.”
JP: “You’re not sharing me with anyone” (smiling, reassuringly)
JK: “Don’t worry, I will love you enough for the both of us.”
JP: “I love you with all the heart I have left. It is no longer whole. But I love you with all my pieces.”
JK: (smiling, reaching for JP’s hands as JP starts the car and drive away)
