Chapter 15

Ella's P.O.V

I wake up early, being that I'm incredibly nervous to meet Jack's family. You'd think I'd have met them sooner but Jack didn't see them often and the few times he did were always inconvient. I slid on a pair of high waisted jeans, a yellow button up crop top, and my white vans. I heard Jack start to wake up as I did my makeup. "Babyyyy it's like 7, get in bed" He groaned. "I'm getting ready, I need to do some cleaning up" I responded as I added my highlight for the finishing touch. Suddenly he was behind me, shirtless, per usual. "Why are you so stressed?" He grumbled as he wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder. "We're engaged, I want them to like me" I shrugged and turned around. 

"They will. And if they don't you're still not going any where" He looked me genuinely in the eyes. "Okay, okay, I know" I smiled and kissed him quickly before putting my hair half up - half down and walking down stairs. Jack came down soon as I order post mates. Girl gotta eat. "Hmm yes food" He happily sang and came over to kiss me. After a minutes we were in a whole make out moment. "Jack I need to clean up" I chuckle as I pull away. "Ugh okay, let's clean" He mumble. 

We clean for awhile before the food comes and we pig out. "Mhh these are good, you're such a good cook" Jack says with a mouth full. "I agree completly" I smile. As soon as we finish up we realize Jack's family will land any time now and rush to the car. "Fuck, let's go" I huff as he starts the car, pulling out. "Just remember, Laura and Molly are my sisters and David and Katherine are my parents, simple" He said as we sped down the high way. "Yeah, simple" I mumbled. We pulled into the parking lot and found a space, rushing into the airport. 

"We still have 4 minutes" He sighed with relief. I took a deep breath and Jack wrapped his arm around me. A few fans noticed us and took pictures, then it seemed to clear out. "I like your outfit by the way, you look cute" He whispered to me and kissed my forehead. "Thanks Gilinsky" I glance up at him. "Hey, you're gonna be Gilinsky soon too" He said with cute excitment. "They know were engaged right?" I ask as people start coming out the gates. "Yeah, Laura is the one who told me I should do it in Paris" He nodded as he looked through the crowd. "Aw, you never t-"

"Jack!" I heard someone yell. I look up and see the Gilinsky's heading toward us with full speed. Jack and then hug and 'I missed you's for a minute then they turn to me. "Thank God were finally meeting you" Molly throws her arms around me and I laugh. "I'm not gonna act like I haven't done my fair share of internet stalking" Laura shrugs and hugs me. "It's good to meet you guys after- so long" I avoided counting years since there was a two year gap between our relationship. David and Katherine introduced themselves and shook my hand.

"Anyway, do you guys want us to take you to your hotel or s-" Jack began as we walked out. "Honey, we're staying at your house, right?" His mom looked side ways at him. "Oh! yeah sure, we knew that" He nodded aggressivley sarcastic and turned toward me. "Oh yes, completely not unprepared for long term guest" I nodded equally as sarcastic and Gilinsky broke to a smile, looking down at me. "Hey don't smile keep nodding" I laugh and hit his arm. 

"You guys are so dumb, that's why its meant to be" Molly laughed. "So, you're guys movie just came out" Katherine mentioned as we all piled in the car. "Yeah, I'm excited for the feedback" I climbed into the back, seeing that David took the passanger seat. "Were so proud Jack finally is in a movie" David exaggerated finally. We all did a quick, anxious laugh and took off. 

The day went by slowly with casual conversation and 'letting them unpack' which was really code for 'decide if we like this girl or not'. And finally dinner. "Let's get Thai food" Laura suggested. "Mh no, I think Mexican" Katherine said as we got in the car. "Okay were getting Italian" Jack finally scoffed. I hit his arm to signal to stop being a douche. "Sorry baby" He whispered as he opened the car door for me.  

"You know Laura and I can help plan the wedding" Molly mentioned as we sat down at our table. "Ooh yes!" Laura poked in. "I could use it, since Jack has no clue what hes doing" I shrug. "Um no, they'll definitley take it all over. We're doing this ourselves" Jack wrapped his arm around me as we sat. "Whatever" Molly rolls her eyes. We make small talk and some how Jack persuades them to stay in a hotel, his treat. I knew it was really because he didn't wanna be questioned about leaving late at night to do 'projects' for Nate. 

"Plus, we could use some relax time" David agreed. I don't know how they all though Jack made so much money off of just music or movies. He vaguely told me about what happened on these nights. We ordered and went back to our casual conversation about Jack's childhood or family who were coming to the wedding. And of course, my mother gets brought up. "Oh yeah, is your mother going to be there?" Katherine asks. "Um, no were not exactly on- speaking terms" I sip my drink quietly. A bit of quiet goes before she asks about my dad. 

"He died when I was in middle school, actually" I tried to smile to lessen the tension "But my Aunt and her family will be there" I nod. "I'm- um really sorry" David says and we accept the awkward silence as we eat. The time we did spend with them during their stay wasn't bad. Laura, Molly, and I bonded enough.
