"A long time ago..." Grandma Rosiepuff voiced in a mysterious tone to the children sitting in front of her , "The world was all water. That was until Mother Cybil rose from the ocean and brought life to the world with the powers of her magical heart. Ever since then, monsters and creatures of all kinds came to try and steal the heart, thinking that if they possessed the heart of Cybil, the powers of creation would be theirs.
"All of the monsters failed on their quests to take Cybil's heart, but then Branch, demi-god of the wind and sea came up to the challenge. He was a shape shifter, changing into different animals to slip through the difficult terrain that so many other monsters struggled to get past with the help of his magical stick.
"Finally, he reached Cybil's heart, and grabbed it. But little did he know that taking away Cybil's heart would destroy all life as we knew it. Blackness, as dark as death started to creep towards him, and he ran. The darkness was tearing apart the island of which Cybil rested, and Branch barely got away alive. He shape shifted into a bird, and flew away.
Thinking that he had escaped his troubles, but he then he was met by a terrifying Demon of the deep."He tried to get past her, but the demon struck Branch from the sky, and he was never to be seen again, and his magical stick, lost to the depths of the ocean, along with the heart of Cybil. The demon is still in search of the heart today, spreading darkeness across the world, taking the life out of plants and animals alike as it spreads from island to island. Until all of us is drowned by the darkness, sending us.. INTO AN INESCAPABLE DEATH!!!"
Several of the troll children gasped loudly, and one of the children let out a loud bawl. Only one bubblegum pink troll sat, not terrified at all of the story, and listening intently.
"But one day the heart will be found by someone who will journey beyond the reef. Find Branch. And deliver him across the great ocean to restore Cybil's heart, saving us all." Grandma Rosiepuff finished
"Ok, I think that is enough for today." Cheif Peppy announced, walking into the pod of which Rosiepuff was telling her story.
"Papa!!!" The pink little child squealed as she scurried into her father's arms.
"No one leaves the island. There no darkness, no monsters..."
"Oh no monsters! No darkness blah blah blah. The darkness is real, and someone will have to go to save us all." Rosiepuff mocked
"Nonsense!!!" Chief Peppy said, accidentally hitting the side of the pod, making scrapbooked monsters fall down, surrounding the poor children.
All the children started to scream in terror, running around and eventually running Peppy over.
"THE DARKNESS IS COMING!!!"
"I'M GONNA PUKE!!!!"
"As long as we stay on the island, we will stay safe." Peppy said, peeling the children off of him.
"Someone will have to go..."
"Rosiepuff, Troll Island is paradise. Who would want to go anywhere else???" The chief said, putting down Poppy, continuing to discuss thing with Rosiepuff.
Little Poppy looked to the entrance of the pod. From up here, she could see the beautiful blue ocean, shining underneath the suns rays. Poppy smiled as she walked out of the pod onto a branch, carefully making her way down to the ground, and then heading to the ocean.
Once she got there, she saw a shell sitting at the water's edge. Squealing with delight at the pretty shell, she started to walk over to grab it, when she spotted a little sea bug in distress. The bug was clearly trying to get to the ocean, but birds were keeping it from going, trying to snatch the poor little creature up.
Feeling a need to help the little bug, she grabbed a large leaf, and walked over to the bug, hovering the leaf above it so that it could walk to the ocean. Poppy occasionally kicked away the birds when they tried to sneak the bug, and soon they reached the sea, the bug plopped into the water happily, but by then the shell was underwater. Poppy started to walk to the water, in a attempt to grab it, when the water split and made a path for her, to her surprise.
She walked forwards, watching in awe at the water as she saw the sea bug she had saved earlier swim along side its mother. Poppy snapped her attention back to the shell, and she walked over and bent down to pick it up, when something shiny caught her eye. She looked up to see something bright green glowing in the water in front of her. The water path then went to the green object, as if reading her mind. And Poppy walked over and picked it up, examining it.
The water in front of her then rose up above her, and Poppy looked up. She tilted her head in curiosity at the water's strange behavior, and amazingly, the water did the same. Poppy then lifted up a hand to poke at the water, and when she did so, water poured onto her face, dampening her tall hair so that it went down in front of her face. Poppy let out a giggle as she wiped wet hair from her face.
The water then gave her another surprise as it went over her hair, and made it stand up, the blue flower she had in her hair resting at the top of her hair. Poppy giggled even more at this, and she was about to turn around the grab the shell she left behind when she heard her father's voice and she looked up.
The water then frantically fixed Poppy's hair, carrying her up on a piece of bark, Poppy accidentally dropping the gem in the process. Poppy reached shore in time to meet her father coming out of the bushes.
"There you are Poppy!!! What were you doing out there?" He said, picking her up.
"But Papa, I wanna go back..."
