Caitlin POV

We get into Nick's car and he drives to some place.

"What place is this?" I ask looking out the window.

"Are you for real right now? This is a bowling ally."

"Oh, I've never been bowling." I say with my head down, feeling ashamed.

His jaw drops, "How is that possible?"

"I don't know. We never had money for that stuff before we moved here. My mom has a better paying job here that's why we moved. But she uses the money for herself I'm assuming." I sigh.

"You know what? That's okay. Because I'm going to be the person who takes you places." He opens his car door.

I gather my phone and my drink because I don't want to leave his car a mess. He quickly got to my side and opened the door for me. I thanked him and we walked in the place. Crazy colored lights all over the place, music playing, people at this thing with tables that looked like velvet.

"What's that?" I point to the mysterious tables.

"Oh that's Pool. It's a really fun game! You wanna play that after bowling?" He asks.

"Sure but I'm not going to be good."

"That's okay. I'm not that good at it either." He says and goes up to the counter. He gets some shoes of some sort.

"What shoe size are you?" He asked.

"8 n a half."

He got another pair of shoes which I'm guessing are mine? We go to the bowling area and we get in our lane. He takes his current shoes off and put the ones they gave him on.

"Wait why do we have to wear these?" I ask holding up the stinky shoes.

"Because these are made for bowling, our converse are not." He chuckles and I nod.

We get our bowling balls and the 'madness of teaching me how to bowl' begins.

"Okay so what you're going to do is put your fingers in these holes." Nick says trying to help me out.

"Then you just throw the ball." He says and backs up. I put my hand in the air ready to throw when he stops me.

"NO!" He grabbed my hand. "Not literally."

"But you said to throw it?" I ask with furrowed eyebrows.

"I meant roll not throw."

"How did you get that mixed up?" I laugh to myself.

"I don't know just roll the damn thing." he backs away once again and I roll the ball down the isle and I missed.

"Here" He pauses and grabs another ball and hands it to me. "Put you fingers in it," I do so. He stands a bit closer behind me and holds onto my wrist.

"Okay, ready?" He asked and I nodded. He forced my hand and the ball went down the isle and knocked them all out.

"You got a strike!" He yells over the loud music.

"Is that a good thing?" I yell back and he just nods.

After a while we got tired of bowling and returned the shoes to the counter.

"That was fun!" I tell him.

The place was kinda dead now so I didn't have to yell for him to hear me.

"Did you wanna try Pool?" He asks.

"Nah." I yawn. "I'm kinda tired." I say and take my glasses off to rub my eyes. Nick just stares at me.
