Here is the chapter that will explain how the Sports Fest is run.

I was really influenced by how Japanese schools have a sports festival where they compete in a bunch of different events. In my version though, I wanted to involve a lot more sports to make it more interesting and involved. First of all, here are the events that are offered on each day of the Sports Fest (the events will begin on Wednesday):

Wednesday

Basketball (Individual): Shooting

Volleyball (Individual): Receiving

Dodgeball (Group): (8) Games

Basketball (Group): (5) Games

Volleyball (Group): (6) Games

Thursday

Baseball (Individual): Batting

Soccer (Individual): Dribbling

Track (Individual): Jumping and Running

Baseball (Group): (9) Games

Soccer (Group): (11) Games

Track (Groups): (4) Relays

Friday

Tennis (Individual): 1 v 1 Games

Ultimate Frisbee (Individual): Distance and Accuracy of throw

Swimming (Individual): Individual Events

Tennis (Group): (2) Games

Ultimate Frisbee (Group): (7) Games

Swimming (Group): (4) Relays

Now, here are the rules that explain how the Sports Fest work:

- Each day of the Sports Fest starts with a team strategy meeting at 8:30 a.m., which usually doesn't last too long. Then, the main event would start at 10 a.m.

- It was also important that the students wear their team colors. This was a fun chance for the students to go all out in their assigned colors. They could wear whatever they wanted (as long as it was appropriate). It was common to see students in blue or red from head to toe. Sometimes the boys would paint their faces and spray paint their hair. The girls liked to have fun with putting gems on their face and wearing bright makeup. It was fun for everyone to see how crazy some of the students could get with their getups.

- The individual events were already entered the same day the students got their team colors. The Student Council got them organized and had a program randomize the names to create the order the students performed in.

- Students have to be entered in at least two events. They have to be entered in at least one individual event to qualify to be in a group event though.

- The group events work differently. In order to compete in a group event, students must form a group before the main events started and turn in a card with the members names to a box the Student Council will have set up in the Main Building (which is where the meetings will be held). The cut off time for forming a group is at 10 a.m.. It was less common to see people participating in the group events because they were tiring and more towards the end of the day. These group events were for the gungho people, like Sam, who love to be active and involved with other people.

- Just so it doesn't get confusing, I need to mention that all the individual events are during the first part of the day. There will be a 30 minute break between the individual and group events to allow students to grab lunch if they had missed it earlier in the day. It also gives the Student Council an extra cushion of time to put the final touches on organizing the randomized match lineups for the groups.

- If you haven't caught on already, the Student Council is in hyper work mode during the Sports Fest. They have a lot of work to do between their events. Usually, they will have to return to the Student Council room immediately after their events to continue their work for the day. It may be hard work, but they love doing it in order to create a successful and fun 3 days of sports.

- Another twist to the Sports Fest is that the winning groups from each grade level will compete in a mini final showdown event later in the school year, usually around January. It's an exciting event that allows all the different years of students to compete against one another.

Now for the point system, which starts at 2 points for 20th place. Getting into the top 5 gets a lot of points for the team:

20th place: 2 points
19th place: 4 points
18th place: 6 points
17th place: 8 points
16th place: 10 points
15th place: 12 points
14th place: 14 points
13th place: 16 points
12th place: 18 points
11th place: 20 points
10th place: 22 points
9th place: 24 points
8th place: 26 points
7th place: 28 points
6th place: 30 points
5th place: 40 points
4th place: 50 points
3rd place: 60 points
2nd place: 80 points
1st place: 100 points

This is all I have for now, but if I think of a rule that I left out I will be sure to add it and put a reminder in the title that it had been updated. Anyway, now that this has been written out, the Sports Fest is finally going to begin! I'm so excited for this guys! Stay tuned for the next chapter in the long anticipated arc! :)
