Nika lets out a sigh of relief, & smiled, when the couple came through the door. She was worried that Jones might had figured out their true identity, & ordered them to be killed on the spot, for trying to ruin his business. "Everything went okay ?", She asked with concern etched in her voice, as she got their dinner out, & made them drinks. Sam said, "I think I charmed him into trusting us, If we get closer to the other dealers, It will make our jobs a hell of a lot easier to do", as she thanked her for the drink, & making dinner.
When they sat down, so they can eat, Nika said, "Jones is definitely the leader of the organization, & he calls the shots", recalling her research on him. Jake asked, "Anything further going back ?", as he took a bite of his chicken, & potatoes. "I am digging, I will let you know", The Computer Wiz said, as she made a mental list in her mind. She & Sam joined him in eating, & they had a nice night together.
The Next Morning, Sam was pissed at herself, cause she forgot to call a babysitter, cause Nika took the day for herself, cause she has a doctor's appointment. "Shit, I can't believe I forgot to get a babysitter !", She exclaimed to her husband, as they got ready to start the day. Jake kissed her, & said soothingly, "Don't worry, Everything will be fine", & they finished getting ready, so they can get the baby ready, & have breakfast, before they go.
As they were finishing up breakfast, There was a knock on the door, & it was Danny, & he had a smile on his face. "My class was cancelled for the day, so I thought you can use a sitter ?", Sam lets out a sigh relief, "You are a lifesaver, Thank you, Danny", as he lets him in, closes the door, & leads him inside. Jake came over to them with Briana, & he smiled at his son.
"This is a nice surprise, Son, We are so grateful for this, You have no idea how much", Jake said, as he one-armed hugged him, & handed over the baby to him, as he, & Sam were finishing getting ready for work. "Anything fir my baby sister", he said, as he coos at the baby, They talked for a few more minutes, & Jake & Sam went to work. While, Danny gets settled for the day, & plays with his sister. The Young Cardigan was happy to be around his family, & help when he can.
It was afternoon, Jake was getting tired, & he just wanted to spend time with his kids, & his wife. He went to find Sam, cause he was missing her throughout the day, & he just wanted to get a kiss frim her to continue the day. He smiled, as he watched his wife interact with his daughter. It was a memory, that he won't ever forget. He leaned off from the door frame, & said, "Hey, Guys", Sam smiled, as a response of him being home.
