Chapter Four

The audience walked out of the circus tent, speaking to each other indestictently, while the curious little boy, looked back at the circus, seeing the little red haired girl.

"Mama, can I go back there? I forgot to bring my pet iguana.."  Said the little boy, clinging to his mother's dress.

"Be quick, Kotarou." His mother said firmly.

"Yes, mama."

He walked back to the circus, looking for his pet iguana, seeing it crouching by the place where they were seated. At when he was about to get his pet iguana, he heard the deep voice of a man from out side.

" 'Aight, folks! Get the hell 'outta here! C'mon, shows over! Now get!"

By the time he said it, the circus curtains were closed, many people fled, including his mother.

"Mama..? Mama...? Mama..?!"

No one heard him but the little redhead girl.

"Why are you here, lad? Were you trapped inside?" She asked with her small, gentle voice.

The boy started crying, speaking almost impossible to undertand.

"Y-yes... Mama thought I was already following her..."

"Poor you.! Come! Let me accompany you! You may stay the night, and I would accompany you to the plaza the following morning, okay?" She said with a bright and welcoming smile, handing her small, delicate hand to the boys direction. "My name is Aliana..."

"I-I'm Kotarou..." He said, sniffling, and shook the little girl's hand.

"I'm going to let you enter deeper to the circus!" She said with a secretly devious smile.

They walked down steep stairs, entering a pure white corridor. No sound could be heard, not a single speck of dirt could be seen.

"What is this place, Aliana-dono?"

She didn't say a word, while she was walking, her grin was from ear to ear.

"Aliana-dono?" He said once again.

"Can it, peanut brain." She said bitterly. "No one will accompany you to the plaza the next morning. The next morning, you'll be a part of this freak show. Maybe you'll be the lizard-man or the man with an enormous regenerating tail, either way, you'll die here." She said, grabbing the young boy's shirt, dragging him into a small-spaced room. "Wear this." She threw a shirt with a number '030".

Because of his fear, he just went with the flow and wore the shirt he was given. It was too big for his size, really, very, too big. So it looked like he was wearing a hospital gown.

She grabbed him by his hair, dragging him on a cart. "Stay still."

She was pusing the cart where he was placed, the only thing being heard is the squeaking and rolling of the rusty wheels, it was heard for seconds, minutes, and hours.

The corridor was simply killing the boy with silence.

After an hour of walking through the long, quiet corridor, they arrived at a white door, behind it was a gigantic, black room. "You might want to close those eyes of yours..."

He didn't.

"Suit yourself.."

She pushed through the white doors, what the boy only saw was pure horror.
