What Am I? [UPDATES RARE]

Who?

I walk down the hallway and into my next class. As I go to my seat, I hear some of the populars with my vamp hearing, so I tune in. "You know the new guy," says one, "YES!" Says another, "He is so hot!" "I know like mega hot!" I tune out and think about what they said.

New guy? What new guy?

When I reach my desk I find that a male is sitting next to my desk. He is unfamiliar so I sit down. He has black hair and green blue eyes. He is wearing a leather jacket, it's awkward between us so I startup a conversation. "So what's your name?" I ask him. "Damian," He says, "Damian Black" "I'm Elizabeth," I say, "Elizabeth Salvitore," I jokingly mock him. He chuckles and I laugh along. He's sorta cute.

I sat down at our lunch table and immediately told Sydney about what had happened in class.

"Wow," she said, "But I thought you liked Cylus?"

"I do," I replied, "So why do I like this new guy?"Just as she was about to answer Cylus plopped down beside me.

"What were you guys talking about?" He asked.

"Nothing important," I reply. Ian appears by Sydney.

"Ian!" Sydney whisper yells, "You know we're not supposed to vamp anything in school!" He opens his mouth to speak but she interrupts him before he gets a chance. "We could be exposed!" But she doesn't stop there, "would you like to be trapped in a room by people who do vampire experiments!" She is starting to get to loud.

"Sydney," I say, "someone's going to hear you!" Then everyone abruptly stops and looks behind me, I turn around and Damian is standing behind me. "Oh," I say as he stands there awkwardly, "sorry I didn't know you were there."

"That's alright," he says, "I was wondering if I could sit with you guys?"

I start to ask why no one else would let him sit with them but Sydney talked over me, "Sure," she said, "sit next to Elizabeth." I look at her with a 'seriously' look, but she just smiles.

They all talk small talk, as I zone off and look into the distance.....

"Right Elizabeth?"

"Elizabeth!" Sydney yells.

"Huh?" I mumble as I snap out of my zone.

"You weren't listening were you?" Cylus asks.

"What?" I ask, "sorry I was zoning." Then the bell rang and everyone got up and went their separate directions.

I was walking down the hallway to my next class when, "You left without me" Damian says. It startles me and I jump, "geez you scared me!" I exclaim. "Sorry" he apologizes. We reach our next class and I sit in my assigned seat. Once the teacher begins to talk I zone off into my thoughts. How did Damian sneak up on me, I think to myself, he couldn't be a vampire.... could he?

I hear someone say ow and snap out of my thoughts, the hunger for blood starts in my mind as I see the person next to Damian gets a paper cut and it starts to bleed. I quickly look down so no one sees my eyes turn red. But I can hear as Damian says, "oh, I'll go get you a bandaid." I can hear as he comes back to his desk so I look up just a little to see what happens. I see as he reaches over and puts the bandaid on their finger. He sits back down and everyone goes back to work.

Well I guess that proves that he's not a vampire. I think to myself.

We leave class and I go to the park after school.

Damian is there so I walk over and we startup a conversation as we sit on a bench.

It starts to get dark and Damian and I get up to leave, I realize that if we're gonna be friends I have to tell him about the secrets. He starts to walk away and I yell, "Damian!?" He turns around so I run up to him. "Damian," I start, "if we're gonna be friends I need to tell you something," he starts to say something but I Interrupt him, "it's really weird, but you can't tell anyone," he starts to talk again but I keep talking, "you can't scream or run or-"

"Elizabeth!" he yells.

"What!?" I yell back.

He reaches and grabs my hand. "I already know." He says. My mental jaw drops. "I saw you in class today." He says.

"But-" I protest.

He puts his finger in front of his mouth and he says, "shhhh" I stop talking and listen to what he has to say. His eyes turn red and he says, "I'm a vampire too." I freeze, and he leans in, kisses me for a split second and then he's gone. I look around but he's nowhere to be seen.

I stand there in shock when I realize it should have been obvious, everything makes sense now. How else would he have snuck up on me? No wonder he didn't sit with anyone else, he knew. He must of heard us talking with his vamp hearing. That's why I didn't know he was behind me at lunch.

He played that out perfectly. No wonder he's so irresistible.
