Kakashi was not having a good day. First off, he didn't get his sensei's son as his student, but an upside was that he got Sauske Uchiha on the team he was teaching. Second, he figured out that his team was one of the worst out of the 3 graduating teams.

First was Sauske Uchiha, and yes he did have skills and was impressive, but his ego was massive, and he had an inferiority & superiority complex, as he felt he was always bested by Naruto. Not to mention that he didn't get along with his teammates. He also seem to be a flight risk, only wanting power to avenge his clan and kill his brother, along with Naruto. The fact that he had not yet unlocked his Sharingan didn't help his situation.

(Sauske wasn't rookie of the year, instead only getting second place, behind Naruto. Uchiha Massacre happened as normal, but with a bit of a twist, more on this later.)

The next was a girl by the name of Aumi Kurama(OC). She was good when it came to staying hidden, and had a very good grasp on ninjustu, along with moderate chakra control. The problem was that she also refused to work with her teammates, and was a fangirl to one Naruto Uzumaki, thinking that Naruto could even take on all 5 kage, and that his word was law. She was only stronger than most fangirls was she believed that rather than have a girl he had to worry about, Naruto liked someone with the strength to fight, someone could and would who stand by their lover's side, so she decided at an early age to take her ninja training seriously.

So much so, she beat both Hinata Hyuuga and Ino Yamanaka for kunoichi of the year, and accidentally put a civilian ninja in training in the hospital for several months and ended her potential ninja career, someone by the name of Sakura. She was also a member of the Kurama clan, and has been recorded to have the biggest chakra reserves and some of the best genjustu of her clan.

Last was Fu Raino, who was sent from the hidden waterfall village as a "peace treaty" as their council said. She seemed to be good with water and wind style ninjustu, but her real power was in her physical strength . Even without using chakra, her punches seemed to be comparable to Tsunade of the Sannin. The power in her grip and throws were amazing, able of lifting and throwing massive rocks and trees. What surprised Kakashi the most was two things. One, she was the jinjuriki of the seven tailed rhinoceros beetle.

But the most shocking thing was that she had bonded with Naruto Uzumaki -or at least the closest you could get to bonding with Naruto-, something most people thought was impossible, and got her on most of the black haired boy's fangirls bad sides. She didn't seem to have anything against either of her teammates, but refused to work with Sauske until he got his act together, but seems to want to get along with Aumi, and seemed to flirt and tease her, which made Aumi want to hurt her.

So in short he had an avenger with a god complex, an aggressive fangirl, and a flirty jinjuriki, all who couldn't work together with each other for one reason or another. He even tried to force teamwork onto them, saying he wouldn't teach them unless they got along.

That plan backfired big time, as Sauske went to complain to the civilian council, who used connections to force him to train Sauske at least, but he didn't let them have the last laugh, as he decided to train them all at the same time. After training, they all did several D rank missions which weren't in as much stock as Kakashi thought they would be. He and the other sensei of the graduating teams went to ask the hokage, he told them all Naruto used his shadow clones to do most of his D rank missions.
