The Paper Plane Awards (TPPA) [2022 | OPEN]

Introducing An Award Book Like No Other | Rules

Your host, Spedzer, has an obsession with finding Award books for her fellow followers, and a rather odd obsession with something quite unusual... Paper planes. Not paper. Not planes. Paper planes. She felt like there was something missing in the Award books she found and came upon something extraordinary... What if I started my own Awards?

And then, The Paper Plane Awards was born.

There will be a minimum of 20 entries per category and a maximum of 40 entries per category. I have decided this as it allows lots of people to still participate so there will still be a large competition, and no one is left out. Plus this allows the more popular categories to have a bigger competition, which is the case in any Wattys.

Secondly...

There will be a deadline (22nd of July 2022) - any entries after this will not be accepted. This allows time for the categories to fill up. If a category doesn't reach up to 20 entries I will combine it with another category.

So the big question is: why should you enter your novel into TPPA? Well...

1. Automatic Entrance - You are guaranteed a slot for your novel in the category you choose (if you fill out the form correctly and follow the rules). 

2. Unlimited choices of categories that you can enter - this ranges from Action, Fantasy, Chicklit,  Fanfiction - they're all here!

3. Stickers Galore - If you win an award as one of your prizes you gain a well-designed, beautiful sticker for recognition for your work! (To check out the stickers, go to the "Stickers" chapter)

4. The Prizes of course! - Follows, dedications, shoutouts, interviews, reviews... You name it, it's a prize (except votes). (To check out the prizes for places, head to "How The Judging Will Work - General Awards" chapter)

5. Why not? - You're guaranteed a slot so what have you got to lose?

THE RULES:  

[You must follow these rules to enter!]

1. The form is crucial - You must correctly fill out the entire form or else your marvellous piece of work will not be accepted. 

2. Stay tuned - In order to stay tuned to what's happening you must follow Spedzer and add this book to one of your public reading lists so you can always stay up-to-date. 

3. Be respectful to others - Please be friendly to one another, and if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all.

4. Three chapters minimum - I will not be accepting anything less as there needs to be evidence of a storyline, and I feel as if this is a fair number of chapters necessary for judging. 

5. The Chosen One - Only one work per user will be accepted.

6. English please - I can only understand English at the best of times so novels in other languages will not be accepted. 

7. Tagging - Please tag a minimum of three people to get the word across. I will not close the awards until there is an adequate number of participants. 

8. A limited number of reads - I will only be accepting works with less than 10K reads as this an awards book aimed at hidden gems.
