No wonder Ciel resembled someone I knew.
He resembled me!
I felt so stupid, I could slap myself.

I was on the verge of falling to my feet in excitement that I had finally met an ancestor of mine but stopped myself from doing so in case I spilled some of the contents from the sacks I was sitting on.

Ciel Alison was probably my great, great, great grandfather's great grandfather. At least, that's what my instinct told me. Somehow.

The man named Marcus had an unusual atmosphere around him that I seemed to notice. A different sort of glint in his piercing blue eyes showed that he was suspiciously doubtful about something when he glanced at Vivian and back again at his best friend, Ciel. He was trying to hide it without uncertain difficulty. And Vivian was the only one except me who realised it all.

When I stared into his face even harder, a strange sort of flutter arose in my stomach. No wonder Vivian had chosen to marry that guy. He was definitely very wanted by the opposite gender. And he too seemed to resemble someone I deeply knew. Somehow both in behavior and in features. The weird feeling continued in my stomach which started to get to my brain and the rest of my limbs.

'Blood and betrayal. . . . .'

My eyes widened. He was definitely going to be betrayed, no doubt. But what was it with blood? I didn't like the sound of his introduction but he was proven the third member.

'How have you been, you hardy fool?' Marcus beamed suddenly, as if remembering he had a responsibility of doing something, and slammed a hand on Ciel's back.
'Been grand as always. But I do have to mention I've been missing our intense conversations indeed.' Ciel laughed and he seemed happier than he had looked at first.

Vivian was forgotten as the two friends got completely submerged in all the current topics that men like them discussed. One of the major ones being the most hated one of Vivian's -- business. Marcus was one cunning merchant for the way he spoke described him as such.

'The poor man didn't even realise he was being framed until I came in!' Marcus laughed as Ciel placed another cup full of white foaming liquid in front of him.
'I highly doubt it was you who did most of the framing.' Ciel answered with a smirk.
The way they talked made me admit that they did look like brothers. They shared every detail of whatever they had done in each other's absence with the other.

Vivian's face on the other hand, was twisted with such an irritated expression that I had to stop myself from shaking with laughter. I didn't know how the other two were managing to ignore her so greatly. Or they were probably too dense to figure out the feelings of the only woman present in the room.

'Alison, say what? How about we go to our usual place tonight?' Marcus spoke out.
'Stargazing would be perfect today especially since the weather is just so jovial.' Ciel replied.
'Wouldn't hurt if I joined you both, would it?' Vivian said for probably the first time since the greeting, an underlying hint of annoyance in her tone.

Marcus, who seemed to snap out of his thoughts, put a hand around Vivian,
'Why would someone as beautiful as you be capable of hurting anyone, dear?'

You could think better, Marcus.

Vivian's face broke out in a smile. Apparently, she seemed pleased with the compliment of her beloved. I had overestimated her. Her features just kept on changing. Sly, devious and sophisticated were the traits that she was probably trying to practise. And I was more than eager to know the goal she was trying to achieve. Mostly because a lot of things were going to depend on it.
