KEN'S POV

I was glad that she agreed to let me drive her. I didn't mean that in a perverse way, I just wanted to spend more time with her. I missed her smile, her body, her lips, her humor, her everything. I just missed her.

We got out of the school grounds and into my car. I couldn't look at her, I couldn't trust myself to look at her. I looked at her. She has dark bags under her beautiful eyes. She looks stressed out and very tired. I remembered how she lived freely and didn't give a fuck about others but now when I look at her, I see an adult. And the most beautiful and perfect person in my life. A person who I'm not allowed to have and touch after what I've done.

Fuck, it hurts knowing that she is right in front of me but still out of reach, it hurts that I can't gain her trust again, it hurts that I still love her. Fuck, I still love her.

"Ken!", I snapped back to reality, "Are you trying to kill us?", Julia shouted at me for daydreaming.

Sorry, I was so focused on thinking about you that I forget about the world around us.

"Sorry, I have a lot in mind", I said to her, now paying attention to the road.

"Yeah, ok, now go straight on, Chapmans Street is where I live on", she informed me and I followed her instructions.

After a moment of silence and awkward tension between us, I decided to speak.

"It's gonna take some while to get to your house, so, let's talk! How was it like when you first came here?", I asked with a smile, knowing how straightforward I was.

"Well, you know that I left Grove City to find a good job, and I did. It was pretty hard at first, because I was new to the city and I had no one, well, except for my folks but you know what I mean", Julia explained to me, "What about you? How is Brittney doing?", she asked.

Fuck, I knew she was going to ask about her. What should I say? Well, I never really loved Brittney, and I don't know why we didn't break up yet, I am afraid, maybe?

"Ok! We are here!", I said when we arrived at her house. Thank god, we arrived faster than I thought we would.

"Thanks for the ride, goodbye!", Julia said, getting out of the car as soon as I stopped it.

"Juls! Wait!", she stopped running to her house to look at me, "If you need anything, remember that I am only one call away", she started to turn to head back to her house, I didn't know what to say next, so, I shouted, "Juls, I will always be there for you, because I like you!", she stopped walking when she heard me shout. She didn't turn to look at me and just walked to her house.

You could say that I wanted to choke my myself to death.

JULIA'S POV

After what he shouted to me, I entered my house and just ran into my room and collapsed on the bed.

And before I start to process my thoughts, I got an SMS from my dad, informing me that he is coming with my mom to visit me.

I sighed as I quickly replied with an ok and decided to think about what happened today later. I tidied my house and prepared lunch., and after I was done, I sat down and watched TV.

After a while, the bell rings and I had to get up and open the door for my parents.

"Hello, baby!", exclaimed my mom as she hugged me very tightly.

"Hey, mom! Hey, pops!", I replied.

Our family reunion was a lot faster than I thought. They only stayed for an hour.

I looked at my phone and it was getting late, so I decided to get ready for sleep.

But suddenly my phone rang, I sighed as I pressed the accept button without looking at the name.

Ugh! I am super fucking tired right now. Why does the world hate me?

"Julia Havis speaking", I said in a monotone voice.

"Juls, hey, it's me, Melissa", she said quietly.

"Oh, Lisa, hey, what's up?", I asked casually.

"I- I want you-", Melissa started to choke on her own words.

"Melissa?"

She started crying, "I want you to come, Juls! Please, I need you!"

"Melissa! What's wrong?", I inquired.

"Come over! I'll-", she choked then sniffled, "I'll explain"

"Ok, I am coming right now!", I hung up as I ran to put on my converses and to catch the tram.
