Ch 5 - The Morning and First Day of the Beach Trip

You wake up on the morning to leave for the beach trip to the human world. Just as you get out of your bed you hear a knock on your room door. You answer the door and Kokoa is standing there in a bathing suit in the color blood red. You stick your head out into the hallway to make sure there wasn't any guys watching and pull Kokoa into your room. Kokoa had her hair down for once instead of her usual ponytails.

"What are you doing here so early?" you ask her.

"I wanted to spend some time with you before we are around everyone else for the entire week." She says while blushing.

"What a second did you just say a week? I thought we were only going for the weekend." you said.

"Well Miss Nekonome decided to change it to a week so the newspaper club could get a lot of information on the human world." said Kokoa.

"Well do you think you could turn around as I get get dressed?" you ask while blushing because you just realized you were only wearing boxers when you answered the door.

Kokoa turns around and laughs at you getting embarrassed from being in just your boxers. You get dressed quickly and tell her that's it's alright for her to turn around now. You were dressed in a pair of shorts and a tanktop. She instantly hugged you when you turn around. Out of nowhere she suddenly shoved you away and said "pervert". Now you knew what Moka meant by mood swings. You step back and put your hands up in position to mean that you meant no harm towards her. She huffs and says "Come on. About time that we meet everyone at the bus stop." She turns and walks out of your room while you grab a few more articles of clothing and throw them in the suitcase.

Eventually you get to the bus stop where everyone was already there waiting on you. You noticed that Kokoa was in a foul mood for some reason and was punching Tsukune. Moka was giving a worried look in your direction. You thought it was best just to leave Kokoa alone for now and loaded your suitcase in the back of the bus. You made sure to check you wallet to make sure you had your money in it. With the money you had been saving up and from your parents you had roughly about 80,000 yen. "Well here we go." you thought as everyone got on the bus and it started to go through the tunnel to the human world.

The bus stops in front of the beach. While everyone is unloading their things, the bus driver asks you how you are doing at the school. You tell him that you are doing alright and still trying to get adjusted to being surrounded by monsters. He laughs and gets on the bus just as everyone gets all their stuff and drives off. Everyone goes down to the beach while Miss Nekonome goes up to a building to check in and pay for the rooms for the whole week. Everyone finds a spot to setup their stuff at. Of course Tsukune and Moka set their stuff up in the same spot. You noticed that Moka isn't wearing a suit for swimming in but decide not to ask. Kurumu and Yukari are at their usual chasing each other and Mizore has a bunch of beach umbrellas covering a huge spot in shade but you thought that was normal considering she didn't like the heat. Kokoa however setup her place a good distance from everyone. You walk over to where she is thinking that you might be able to figure out what is wrong but as soon as you get within a few feet from her she says go away. You just shake your head because you can see tears streaming down her face. You turn around and walk closer to the group but and decide to setup a place halfway in between Kokoa and the others. Just in case something happens to her you can get there. Moka sees this but doesn't say anything. For the first day on the beach everyone just pretty much relaxes and enjoy the day.

When it starts to get dark out, everyone heads up to the building to go to sleep. While you were about to get into bed, a knock comes from the door to your room. You answer the door and Kokoa is there and is still crying. You grab her and pull her in.

"What's wrong?" You ask.

"I'm sorry for what I did earlier. Can I stay with you tonight?" she asks.

"Anytime you want." You say.

Both you and her climb in bed. You wrap your arms around her as she cries herself to sleep. You drift off a little bit afterwards thinking that you wish she would just come out and say what she has on her mind.
