Chapter One: Monday 12th November
Sunlight warmed my face as I lay in bed, forcing myself to stay there until mother comes to wake me up. She likes to do that, wake me up. It makes her feel as if I couldn't without her, that I can't live without her.
Which in all fairness is acceptable, but my sweet mummy doesn't realise that I do need her. Not to take care of me physically, but mentally I need her strength and support.
With a small amount of effort I turned myself onto my front, realising that my now awake eyes were squinting and would give awake my non-sleepingness. Smiling into my bed covers, I could hear her creeping down the hallway. I practically had to dig my fingers into the bed to stop me getting up before she 'woke' me.
The door creaked open, the plastic of her slippers padded along my wooden floor, setting her tray down on the desk, she pulled my duvet back down to my waist and gently shook both of my shoulders,"Lilipops. Lilly. It's morning. I've made you breakfast. Pancakes, sausage and a nice big cup of coffee. Babygirl, its morning time now" her softly creased hands skim over my back.
With much restraint, I 'sleepily' squirm and turn over slowly. Bring my head up to meet the soft heart shape of my mothers. Such love shone through her eyes, you would almost miss the bludgeoning film of pain behind them.
My mother, Anna, is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. I'm not just saying that because she is my mother, but she's so beautiful. She has long golden blonde hair, vibrant emerald eyes, rosy lips, a petite but curvy figure and a personality that trumps it all.
I sat myself up, " Yay, pancakes."
Seriously excited for pancakes, I'm sidetracked by the inquisition: how come she's made me my favourite breakfast in bed? Whats today?
I rack my mental calendar as I pull myself into a sitting position thank my mum for the food, give her a kiss and place the tray in the middle of my double bed.
"Eat up baby, and get dressed after." her slightly aged voice carried as she slid of the gap between the wall and open door, I was left to eat in peace.
I devoured my pancakes and sausage, also managing to drink half the coffee before dragging myself out of bed and leaving it on the side for later consumption.
The floor was cold on my small feet, it wasn't soon before I quite literally hopped to my dresser and mirror.
The cupboard by the ensuite door holds my towels, sheets and toiletries. I opened it grabbed a towel for my body, my hair and a flannel for my face before looking down to grab anything else I need to wash that that bathroom running low on. Side stepping to the bathroom door I entered. A small smile on my face as I walked into my bathroom.
I designed it myself, when we renovated the house a couple years back. It's got a large shower with steam, and lots of different taps and shower heads that you can control. There'd also a 'minuture' fake claw foot bath. The whole story without the minuture part is because of my elfin height the full sixes tub was around about double the size of me in length. I had a large sink with a detachable shower head as well as well and a toilet with a raised bit so my feet can be flat on the floor.
The colour scheme was black diamond marble and white marble. The disadvantage to it is that it's always so cold when your first walk in, luckily it just about warms up by the time your out and start to adapt to the cold.
