"Tommy?" Said a cloudy voice in the distance. "Tommy?" The voice kept repeating itself. Tommy looked around, he was in a city of some sort. There were dark green weeds and grass everywhere. The city looked cold and empty. Water was flooding round some buildings. There were still cars and vans, and all e buildings were cracked, some buildings had fallen over. There were rats and sewage everywhere. There was a faded glow of light up ahead. Tommy had a strange feeling whenever he looked at it. It felt similar to that feeling you get when you put the vacuum cleaner up to your hand, except it was weaker and covered his whole body.
"Tommy?!" The voice sounded frustrated now, yet it was calm at the same time. It was a soft voice, yet it sounded scared. "Tommy?!" The voice kept getting louder. The more it repeated the more a nostalgic feeling formed in Tommy's stomach. "TOMMY!"Everything went white.
Tommy woke up to the sound of a voice calling his name. He sat up and slowly opened his eyes. A blinding ray of sunshine met his gaze. Tommy shrieked then rubbed his eyes. "Wake up Tommy! Your gonna be late for your first day of school!" Tommy opened his eyes and looked in the direction the voice was coming from. "Tommy get up!" The voice yelled, at this point Tommy had figured out who's voice it was. "Alice?" Tommy asked with a croaky tone to his voice. "Yes it's me, now get up you need to go to school!" Alice replied half yelling. Tommy looked at the wall at his black and green calander with a picture of Link and Zelda on it. "First of June" Tommy mumbled to himself. Then realisation hit him. "FIRST OF JUNE?!" Tommy yelled confused. "YES!" Alice yelled, while slapping her face at the same time. Tommy threw off his blankets and ran to his wardrobe. "Finally you got up", said Alice relived and annoyed. Tommy swung his head around "WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE!?" Tommy shrieked, "GET OUT I NEED TO GET DRESSED!" Tommy ran at full speed and started pushing Alice out of the door. "Hey!" She started, but Tommy was already slamming the door shut.
Alice sat in the living room. She was staring at a cloud that looked like a train. "I hope He does okay at school." Alice said to herself. "His Mum is working from five until eleven and his dad isn't here anymore." Alice's voice started getting shaky. " I don't think Sarah really trusts me looking after Tommy, he is her only child anyway." Alice jumped when she heard the sound of footsteps running down the hall. Before Alice could turn around Tommy had already ran into her and fell onto the floor, taking her down with him. "TOMMY BE CAREFUL WOULD YOU!?" Yelled Alice as she sat up. Everything was green. Alice felt her face ad noticed there was a green hat hanging from her nose. She took the hat off and looked at it. It was a green, pointy hat with glitter lightly sprinkles around the bottom of it. "Really Tommy?" She looked up and noticed he was blushing. "You can't take your hat to school." "Why not!?" "Well because it looks like Zelda's hat!" "NO ITS LINKS!" Tommy's face went red. "Fine then, Link's hat. You still can't take it." Alice said. "But Aliiiiice, can I take it just today?" Tommy tried pulling a cute face, he failed badly at pulling the face but succeeded in persuading Alice. "Fine you can take you hat to school"... "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY" Tommy cheered. He looked at a clock then started tugging at Alice's shirt. "COME ON LETS GO IM GONNA BE LATE!" Alice smiled and walked him out to the car.
