Monday September 5, 2016-

It's the first day of college. I received my classes through my email about a week ago. I have classes in the afternoon on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays then I have morning classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. While Matthew, on the other hand, has afternoon classes on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays then have morning classes on Mondays and Tuesdays. We both have four classes everyday which are an hour and thirty minutes long. While Matthew was in class, I just came home after a busy day at work.

I entered my house after retrieving my key and placing it on the table. I slipped my shoes off and sighed loudly when my feet touched the cold wooden floor. I unhooked my purse from my shoulder and placed it on the couch as I made my way to the kitchen. My feet were aching from standing around so much for six hours but that didn't stop me from walking into the kitchen.

I already planned out what I wanted to do for an hour before I had to get to class. I planned to grab all of the junk food, stay in the bedroom with the windows and blinds closed so it'll be dark, then I lay in bed with soft big warm blankets around me and watch netflix. What a better way to spend after a busy day at work and an hour before class, am I right?

My arms were filled with a lot of junk as I made my way to the bedroom. My body jumped when I heard a loud knock coming from the front door. I groaned when a box of chocolate fell to the ground.

"Piece of.." I muttured. I walked quickly to my bed and threw all of my junk food on the bed then walked back to grabbed the box of chocolates that's probably all crushed into pieces now. I threw it with the rest of the junk food that I will be finishing before walking to the front door where another knock was heard. "I'm coming, sheesh!" I yelled as I shook my head. I checked what time it is, it couldn't be Matthew who was knocking at the door, his class doesn't end until 1:30, so who could it possibly be?

He cleared his throat as he rubbed his hands together before he hid them in his two front pockets of his jeans. My breath hitched as my eyes fell upon on him, he gave me a small side smile before he opened his mouth to speak.

"May I come in?" I blinked in response, he glanced at the his shoes before focusing his eyes on me once again. "I was hoping that we could talk?" I didn't answer him. "Please." He whispered. It took me a second before I agreed to talk, I took a step to the side to let him in.

He walked in silently and stood infront of me watching me shut the front door, I walked past him and sat on the couch. He followed after me and sat across from me. He cleared his throat once again then took a big breath before speaking.

"I-I'm sorry." We made eye-contact for a second before he looked away to brush his nose with his finger. He looked nervous and uncomfortable. He kept his eyes on the ground as I kept my eyes on him. "I didn't mean to cause this big of a drama." He let out a dry sarcastic laugh, his watery eyes landed on mine while showing me a sad smile. "It's just-" He looked away from me again as he paused like he was thinking. "It just hurts, you know? Loving someone you know won't love you back." Love. "I tried to get rid of these feelings.. these feelings I have for you, but I just couldn't. No matter how I much tried, you'd always find a way to be in my mind. I couldn't let you go. I've fallen madly in love with you but you're madly in love with someone else."

He looked down at his feet that was tapping against the soft carpet. He was silent for a minute. He just sat there tapping his foot, staring at it with teary eyes and a sad smile. No tears were rolling down his cheeks as he tried to hold it in. He sniffed then started speaking again with a soft broken voice.
