Today I'm going to school for the first time in 2 weeks. I got out of the hospital a few days ago, recovering from a car accident. My sister is still in the hospital, but I have been visiting her lots.
"Are you ready to go?" I hear Tammy yell.
"Yes, I'll be down in a second"
I walk down the stairs slowly, because I know once I get down I'm just going to get yelled at about how I'm such a brat, and I take to long, and so on.
"I've been waiting 10 minutes for you!" Tammy said angrily.
"I'm sorry, I was getting ready"
"Get in the car before Brian gets here!"
I run outside because I know that if Brian, my foster dad was told I took to long. I'd get beat. Literally. I've learned to just listen to them and do what they say. As long as I do that, I'll stay on there good side. But if I do something as much as tie my shoe in front of them, I'll be grounded for a week.
Tammy gets in the car with me. She drives a 2000 Toyota. Most people know it as the "rust" cart.
"I didn't make you a lunch, so I guess your gonna be hungry" Tammy mentioned.
"It's fine, I'll just buy a lunch at school" I said.
"How the hell did you get money?"
" I've started this volunteering job at the nursing home down the street." I bluntly lied to her. What really happened is, I stole a bunch of money from the girls locker room at school.
"When were you gonna decide to tell me young lady?"
" Well I think I just did"
Oops, I just got snobby. Ugh. I fucked up.
" that's it, I'm calling Brian"
She turned the car around and drove back the way we came. I'm guessing she is bringing me home. We were driving for about 10 minutes and we stopped at a gas station.
" I'm going to get some cigarettes" she said while getting our of the car.
As I'm sitting in the car I turn on the radio.
"Jordan Green, 15 year old, blonde hair green eyed girl missing sence late Saturday night"
I see Tammy walking out of the gas station, she has a bag in her hand and a pack of cigarettes in the other. She got in the car and threw that bag into the back seat. I looked back and rope fell out.
"How come you got a rope?" I asked.
"I have my reasons" she said with a smirk on her face.
I ignored her. I really don't care why she needs it.
We were driving for what seemed like hours, I really didn't want to be late for school. I was to scared to ask her where we are going, so I just kept my mouth shut. I didn't want to pull my phone out to see what time it was. I figured Tammy would just snatch it out of my hands.
I'm looking out the window and I see a sign that says "Minnesota".
