Character introductions

Year 10

Emma:

Emma is the class representative for her class, is quite popular among her peers and a common favourite among teachers. She has an interest in occult rituals and methods and every once in a while will put an idea about doing a ritual forward to the group.

Steff:

Steff is best friends with Jaymee and is well loved by her fellow peers.  She is a high achieving student and catches the attention of most boys in her grade by her sweet looks and chest size, although, sweet Steff only has eyes for Ian.

Jaymee:

Jaymee is extremely close to Steff and secretly likes her but, is unable to act on her emotions. She is quite an enthusiastic girl. Her deceased mother has caused Jaymee to step up to the role of house keeper at home while, having a part time job and taking care of her younger brother, Will while her father works most of the day. She tries her best to make every day a good one for her friends.

Ian:

Ian is a kind-hearted student who is always willing to help his friends but, is a bit of a coward. Despite this, he is quite protective of his little sister, Ami and always watches out for her. He is blissfully unaware of the crushes a few girls have for him as he is too busy watching Steff but is too shy to make a move.

Tyler:

Tyler doesn’t care much for school, and as such doesn’t do very well. Disowned by his parents, he has a part time job to pay rent for the apartment where he lives alone. He acts like a bad boy and has considered getting himself expelled but Emma changed his mind. Shortly after that, ‘bad boy’ Tyler developed a crush on Emma.

Nina:

Nina is a kind girl, exceeds in her studies and easily makes friends, thanks to her energetic nature. She is a member of the drama club along with Samuel and has become very close to him. Due to her father moving work, Nina has to transfer schools and leave her friends behind, much to her dismay.

Samuel:

Samuel is a hard-to-read student, exceeds in class but isn’t generally liked. He tries to put on a nice front and leave a good impression while hiding his inner personality. He acts calm and is best friends with Nina and secretly cares deeply for her as she is the only one he allows to give him a nickname, Sammy.

Year 5

Ami:

Ami is Ian’s little sister and she is heavily reliant on him. She is a sweet young girl but she acts and looks younger than she really is. When she meets Ian’s friends, she is instantly loved by them all. Despite being a teenager, she depends on those older and more mature than her to make her decisions for her.

Year 12

Alastair:

Alastair is an older boy who is quite popular among the girls of their school and usually has at least one girl following him during school. He grew up with two older siblings who abused him and hated him. As such, Alastair believes that his family hates him and he yearns for a younger sibling. Even from a young age, he has always had a sadistic streak.

Erin:

Erin is Nina’s older sister and is one of Alastair’s fangirls. Often found trailing Alastair, she is hopelessly in love with him but, just like the other girls like her, Alastair ignores her. This alone does not stop her though. Erin does not care much for her younger sister or schoolwork.

Matthew:

Matthew is Alastair’s best friend but doesn’t do a very good job. He is weak and easily persuaded to do things he shouldn’t regardless of his personal opinion. He likes Erin but her obsession with Alastair has stopped him from acting on those emotions.

Wendy:

Wendy is one of the few girls that don’t have an obsession with Alastair and one of the few girls that Alastair is actually friends with. Wendy is quiet, kind and forgiving and is a favourite among teachers and peers alike.  She is always willing to help out fellow students, regardless of year level.
