Chapter 11

“They don’t know half of what I go through to give you what you need and be there for you.”

(Sweets POV)

I was so excited because I had planned on surprising B by coming to VA for our birthday. I was shocked when Mama J called me and asked me if I wanted to come to spend a week with him and of course I said yes! She told me it was gonna be a surprise for his birthday and to not to tell him no matter what. It was definitely hard fooling B because he was usually super nosey but I could do it this time. Mama J wanted to pay for the plane ticket but I told her she didn’t have to because I knew she was just getting by plus waiting on things to work out for B with this music thing so I couldn’t let her do that. It all worked out tho especially when I told Mommi about it and she insisted on going too so she paid for both our tickets. I could've done it but Mommi wanted me to get B the gift I had been dying to pick up with the allotment I get every two weeks from my trust fund.

I decided to get B  3 outfits, 3 throwback jerseys, 3 pairs of the Jordan 3’s, 4 fitteds and a custom made Charlie Brown Pendant with a platinum chain do he was gonna be stuntin on em! I didn’t care if he got me anything I just wanted him to have everything he had been wanting and to see that beautiful smile! Plus I knew if he could afford it right now he would do that and more for me because that's just how he was. That didn’t matter to me tho I just wanted to see him happy.

Wheels Up!

I finally landed at the Tappahannock-Essex Airport in VA. I have to say I was excited but tired as hell. I didn’t get much sleep cause me and B stayed up laughing & talking on the phone til 2 am and my flight was at 6 am. I should have slept on the plane but it was not comfortable. Mommi was gonna come down tomorrow so I had to make the flight alone.

Mama J said that she would be at the airport to pick me up at 9 am so I was waiting in the pick-up area. I had my IPod in and I came across the playlist that B had put together on the CD he gave me. It hit me that I had been so busy hadn’t even listen to it yet.

I giggled to myself through “Whose Girl Is That”…He sounded so cute. Then “Heart to Heart” was more heartfelt but still made me giggle. “So Right It Ain't Right” Made me see where he was going with this then finally “Gonna Be My Girl” came on and it tugged at my heart from what it all meant. He was asking me to be his girl and I had waited all this time to finally listen to it. I felt like such an ass.

HE WANTED TO BE MY MAN!

I got snapped out of my shock by Mama J. “Hey Angel…It’s so good to see you!” She said giving me a big hug.

“You too Mama…I missed you!” I said hugging her back.

“Well how was your flight?” She said grabbing the handle to one of my bags and walking towards the car.

“It was a little rocky but it was fine.” I said lifting the bags and putting them in the trunk.

“Yea it’s like that sometimes…I hate flying…So are you excited to see Chris?” She asked the last part with a big smile that showed her deep dimples.

“Yes I am…I missed him a lot!” I said putting my seatbelt on.

“Well he is gonna be so happy to see you…He missed everybody but he missed you the most.” She said patting my hand.

AWWW.

It made me feel so good to know he hadn’t moved on. I mean we talked about everything so I knew about all the fast hoes that were trying to be in his face cause they knew he was about to blow up. But we would just laugh about the outrageous things they would say or do to try and pull him. I knew he loved the attention, what 14 year old horny guy wouldn’t? But something told me he hadn’t done anything with any of them.
