Deadly But Mine

Chapter 1

            “Baby, baby, baby oh!” Kayla’s alarm clock rang. Waking me up early like usual.

“Aahh! Kayla……Kayla…..Kayla?” I looked up from my bed to hers sitting on the other side of the room. Empty.., figures. Kayla’s been pulling all nighters lately, and sometimes not even coming home. Whenever I try to ask her where she’s been, she just answers partying, or none of your business. Knowing her she’s probably partying, but I worry sometimes. We’ve been friends since high school, and I know she can handle herself. She was always the type of girl to go places, party, and come home in one piece. Lately though, when she comes home she’s jumpy like the boogieman’s going to find her and tear her apart. That’s the reason why I’m starting to worry.

        Well I might as well get up, because one I don’t want to listen to Justin Beber, and two I need to get ready for my date this afternoon. I got up and turned the alarm off, and headed into the hallway and into the bathroom. I striped down and hoped in the shower. I started to think about when she'd be coming home. Hopefully soon, becuase i wanted her to meet my date Rick. She always liked meeting my dates, mostly to inaragate them, and see if there good enough. That's another reason why we are friends, she always protected me. Sometimes I wonder what high school would have been like if we hadn't met. I turned off the water, grabbed my towel and got outta the shower. Then I noticed the note dangleing from the mirorr. I pulled it off and read:

         Kira,

I'm gonna be moving out. I'm sorry i know that its short notice, but I have to do this. I can't really explain everything. I'll be back next week to pick up my stuff, and I'll still pay this months rent so don't worry.
