We met up with Cashton at a Starbucks in the airport where Luke got a mocha to erase any evidence that he was still extremely tired. I laced my fingers with his and he looked down at me with those big blue eyes. "Mikey, we've got to go to the Big Ben today," he said softly. I put my chin on his shoulder. "Why, Lucas?" I asked him. "Because I booked our next flight tomorrow." My eyes widened. He was moving fast, but then again we were pressed for time.

According to the doctor he had 29 days left, my Luke, and he was going to make them last. We walked out of the airport with Calum and Ashton behind us. Calum was giving Ashton a piggy back ride and this gave Luke some ideas. He jumped on my back and yelled, "ONWARD CLIFFOCONDA!" I stumbled a bit and then I managed to run down the side walk. The hotel was very close to the airport and so was the Big Ben, so we didn't bother to get a rental car. I raced Cal to see who could get the drummer and the guitarist to the hotel lobby first. Some how, Calum got there first and I had to give him ten pounds.

We checked in to our two-bed hotel room and began to unpack the suitcases we had been lugging everywhere. Luke changed into a black t shirt and jeans before walking over to sit on our bed. He tripped over my suitcase and fell.

"Luke!" Ash and Calum yelled simultaneously, "Luke are you okay, mate?" He didn't respond. "No no no no no," I mumbled while running to his side. I gently picked him up and laid him on our bed to see if he was breathing. He wasn't. "How could a little fall mess him up so bad?" Calum asked. "He's got osteosarcoma how the fuck should I know?!" I frantically replied. I vaguely remembered taking a class on CPR so I began pumping his chest and then blowing air into his mouth. I switched these techniques back and forth for a few minutes before he finally coughed, and his eyes fluttered open.

"Oh my god Luke I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, it was my suitcase this wouldn't have happened if it weren't for me," I said, rushed. "M-Mikey! I l-love you. Please, let's just go to the Big Ben," he said, smiling slightly. I nodded and helped him off the bed.

Calum called a cab because even though the Big Ben was close we didn't think Luke should walk that much. Ashton helped him into the backseat beside me before sitting in Calum's lap and shutting the door. The driver could tell that Luke was sick and didn't make us pay the cab fare. I guess John Green was right, there are cancer perks. We got out in front of the giant clock tower and Luke looked up at it, amazed.

We sat in the grass near it and we all gazed at the sight. I started to sing. "When we both wake up, underneath the same sun," Luke joined in and sang harmony as Ashton kept Cal from crying, "time stops, I wish that I could rewind. So close but so far away..." We leaned in and kissed. It wasn't rough and sloppy, but soft and precise. It was loving. Luke pulled away.

"If you're ever alone after I'm... gone, just, promise me you'll listen to that song," he said, "because I know up there I'm gonna," he started to sing again, "wish I was, I wish I was, beside you."
