Chapter 1 The Time Has Come

Penntalia Quintero set in a almost empty restaurant. There were only five other people. The heat in Phoenix  had been brutal that day so not a lot of people were out in the neighborhood, that included the local dinner just a couple blocks away from Penntalia lived.

She was waiting for her brother Matteo & sister Magdalena to join her to discuss their mother's declining health & their plans to find him or rather IT. The creature that was their father. "Excuse me honey, will there be anything else I can get for you?", said a tall blond woman that looked like she has spent a bit too much time in the sun but a very friendly disposition. "Oh no thank you." Penntalia smiled. The waitress smiled & walked away as Penntalia poked at her eggs which she would normally & easy devour in a matter of minutes but for some reason they  didn't to do it for her at the particular moment.

Suddenly the door of the restaurant opened & four children ranging from ages 9 to 11 walked in & sat a the counter. Penntalia was overwhelmed with a very strange scent, a really sweet scent. She turned around slowly & saw the 4 children, 3 boys & 1 girl.  She gradually started to feel a twinge in her stomach.  The smell was becoming increasingly overwhelming to her & she started to shake. "What is going on with me right now?" she said to her self but slowly rose to her feet out of the booth & slowly walked over to the children. As Penntalia was walking she caught a glimpse of herself in a mirror hanging on the restaurant's wall & was horrified see her eyes had turned yellowish amber color. She gasped & hoped no one had noticed. 

She was so entranced in her horror she didn't notice the door to the restaurant open & her brother Matteo & sister Magdalena walk in to find her in a transfixed state. "Talia!", Magdalena called out. Penntalia turned around to see her siblings staring at her with worried expressions on their faces. By then her teeth had became sharp & serrated. "Come On Talia, look at me! Look at me!!", Magdalena whispered in a slightly harsh tone taking her younger sister chin. Penntalia admitted a low growl. "Talia! No! No! Stop that. Stop", Magdalena said slightly more firmer looking Penntalia dead in her eyes. 

The room started to swirl, Penntalia shook her head & blinked a few times. "What was that?!?", Penntalia said starting compose herself, her eyes turning back to their normal shade of brown. "So it's happening to you now too, huh?", their Brother Matteo spoke up. "It happened to me last night. I had to bail out on my date, which sucked because she was fine.", he continued.

"Lena has this happened to you?", Penntalia asked the oldest of the 3 fraternal triplets. "The eyes yes but not the pointy teeth thing, No", Magdalena responded running her hands through her light colored auburn hair. "Mom said this might happen someday.", Matteo said looking to see if anyone had notice but the other few people were too busy wrapped up in the own meals to notice. "Oh my God! Let's get out of her.", Penntalia said walking back to her table grabbing money from her wallet & walking up to the counter. "Her you go ma'am, please keep the change.", she said handing a twenty dollar bill to the waitress that had served her earlier. The Quintero Triplets were different from other people. Where everyone else had two parents that were both human they had a human mother & a father that was as had always been described to them other worldly, a different species that could take on any shape or form including human. Even though they knew this their whole lives they never really felt different until recently. 

Penntalia put her index finger to her teeth only to find that they had to returned back to normal. The three siblings walked out of the diner into the sunny streets of their Phoenix neighborhood & headed for Matteo's SUV. Once they got in the vehicle they headed down the street. "So what are we suppose to do now?", Penntalia asked sinking into her seat & groaning into her hands. "We should talk to mom & get the full story from her finally.", Matteo said "are you kidding mom needs to rest right now", Magdalena protested "The chemo's really doing a number on her". "Look I know mom is sick!! Who do you think has stayed by her bedside while you both are working?!?", Matteo argued back "Oh but you were able to take the time to go out on a date last night?", Magdalena questioned with a harsh tone. While her siblings argued Penntalia looked out the window at all the surrounding cars driving. "It's 2034 & we still don't have flying cars....at least not here in the U.S.", she thought. She then her pulled out her Galaxy 35 & opened the photo gallery on her phone. Images of her & her mother pop in a moving hologram in front her. It was from her & Magdalena's Quinceanera when they turned 15.

 She smiled warmly at the gold ballgown dress her mother had spent months making while her sister had choose to buy her dress from a catalog.  "I love you honey! Happy Birthday!", her mother said twirling her around in her ballgown she had made to look like Emma Watson's dress from the old movie Beauty the Beast movie from 2017. It was her mother Octavia's favorite movie. Her mother had once told her & her siblings that their father snook her in a Derry, Maine movie theater to see it when she was a much younger woman.  "Okay we're here", said Magdalena in an almost monotone voice. They stop in front a small robin's egg blue colored house.  

As the triplets started to walk up to the front door they Penntalia's nerves started to get the better of her because she knew that this was not just a wellness check for their mom but it was but it was going to be a soft interrogation to find out more about their father, Robert Grey or has their mom had come to know him Pennywise, the Dancing Clown.

So that what I have so far. I hope you guys like it. This is going to be somewhat  horror but mainly a story about how even the most evil of creatures can change when they have someone or something special to change for & don't worry it won't be to sappy/ fluffy.
