Chapter 17

“Whatever happened before me…girl, it don’t matter no more.”

 

(Sweets POV)

The BBQ & Party was crazy. Chris really had a lot of family and friends! Of course there were a lot of females trying their best to get all of his attention but I was so happy cause he ignored them all and made sure to introduce me as his girl. Boy the stank looks on their faces HA! Everybody had a fun time. Lots of laughing, dancing, cards, dominos & water gun fights. It felt more like a family reunion than a birthday party! I enjoyed being around his family. It was about 7 pm and we decided to have our cake. Mama J, Auntie Chris & Mommi had two cakes made but they were similar. After the cake we opened all our presents. I didn’t expect many gifts cause this was more Chris’s party.  But I was surprised Mama J, Mommi , Auntie and Chris all got me gifts. Even KJ and them all chipped in on a gift for me!

So Sweet. 

Of course Chris had plenty for the both of us. He was so happy about the other 2 pairs of Jordan’s, outfits, throwback jersey and fitted I got him. But my biggest surprise was the Charlie Brown chain and a bracelet. His eyes were so big and he didn’t know what to do. He grabbed me up in a big hug and ran around with me over his shoulder. So crazy!

He got me two more Abercrombie outfits, a purse and and a diamond 3 star necklace. I loved that he remembered I love stars and hearts. The necklace made a lot of the chicks at the party give me dirty looks and mumble, but they didn’t say it to my face so I just laughed and was happy to be spending OUR birthday together as a couple finally.

After all our gifts were put away we all headed to the barn to continue the party and the adults left us in cousin Ricky’s supervision. It was so much fun. I couldn’t wait to dance! We all got on the floor and was freakin. Some were going at it so hard they looked like they were actually having sex!  Chris and I did our own thing cause we just loved to dance. So then we all made a circle and had a dance off. There was this one girl that kept challenging me but of course she got served! Chris battled a few guys and won. Then we battled each other and it was a tie cause we just kept going at it! I loved that he loved dancing as much as I did. We always battle each other just to keep our skills sharp.

Around 10:30 everybody was still partying and freakin which led to a lot of people sneaking off to do the real thing. So Chris and I decided to go too. He wanted to take me to this big pond that was in the back of the house but before we could leave of course there had to be drama.

“Chris can I talk to you?” The girl with curly hair asked.

She was pretty.

“Why?” He said giving her a hard expression.

“So you really gonna act like this… throwin this bitch in my face!” She said.

Now she was ugly.

BITCH???

By this time Keeis, Robb, KJ and some others had come over as I was moving towards her.

“Who you callin a bitch?” I fired as I stepped closer to her.

“You…You fuckin ho and mind ya business I was talking to Chris!” She said point at me.

“Look you gonna back up with all that bitch talk. We ain't got shit to talk about Monique so move around.” He said blowing her off and holding my arm.

“OOOH Monique. You callin me a ho?…I heard the family ran all through you” I said laughing.

His cousins all laughed and ooo’d her. I guess that embarrassed her so she tried to take a swing at me. But I figured she would so I was ready. I ducked her punch and threw two right back at her and she stumbled. I hit her three more times in the face and she fell back. I went after her again and Chris grabbed me up.
