Chapter Eighteen: Shut Up and Dance with Me

Baby was in the Funtime Auditorium, looking at the clock again and again. All the animatronics were talking to each other until she interrupted them. "Okay, everyone! It's 12:25! The show starts at 12:30!" Everyone began to grab their chairs. "I'll be back!" Baby headed for Ballora's Gallery.

I was done putting on my leotard when I began to feel weird. "Oh, I hope I don't mess this up. I hate this time of the month." I checked myself out in the mirror, surprised that I didn't see James. "Well, I hope you stay quiet," I said out loud as I left for Ballora's Gallery. Ballora stopped dancing with the Minireenas and clapped her hands. "Oh, you look beautiful, dear! Absolutely stunning!" The minireenas came running to me and I hugged them. "Thanks, Ballora. I feel a bit nervous about dancing, though. It's been a while since I've done ballet. Last time I danced was when I was alive... before I died, of course." "Just dance the way you can, dear. You can follow my lead if you want to, though," Ballora reassured me. Baby came into the gallery and said, "Okay, Melany! Everyone is in their seats. It's time for the show to begin!!"
I nodded my head and followed the girls. When I stepped into the auditorium, I saw all the animatronics: Lolbit, Yenndo, Freddy, Foxy, and Bonnet in five chairs on the left, and Quail, Utah, Abby, Dameon, Artsy Tina, and the Bidybabs in seven chairs on the right. This created a large aisle in the middle of the floor, making a way for Baby, Ballora, the minireenas, and me to get to the stage.
Baby stood up with her back to me and Ballora as we got in our positions. "Hello, everyone!" she waved, "I am very proud to present this amazing event that Ennard made for us tonight!" Everybody cheered and clapped. "Now," she continued, "Before the show starts, I would love to tell you to please stay in your seats. Once the the show starts, it won't end until it does."
Baby looked depressed about the last two sentences she said. I mouthed "It's okay" to her, and she smiled. "Give it up for Ballora, Melany, and the Minireenas!" she excitedly shouted. The animatronics shouted and clapped. "WOO-HOO!!!" screamed Lolbit, causing Yenndo to jump. "Why do I hang out with you?" he whispered.
Ballet music filled the air. Ballora moved slowly so I could get the hang of it again. I carefully moved around with the Minireenas; two were on my side, and the other two Minireenas were on Ballora's side. Oohs and ahs were heard from the animatronics in the crowd. We danced ballet for 30 minutes until the music changed. The new beat was a little faster, and Ballora backed up. I stood in the middle of the stage and nervously smiled.
"This is the music for the free dance, dear," Ballora told me, "Dance the way you do." I nodded my head and began to dance. I threw my hands in the air, stepping back and forth to the beat. Making x's with my arms, I swung my hips, turning my head to the left and right. Then I slid to both sides of the stage about 4 times. 'This is kinda fun!' I thought when I was done putting on a show. Clapping and applause was heard everywhere. I smiled at Ballora as the florescent lights glowed brightly.

Then, the lights went out.

A pillar of light came from the aisle. The animatronics turned around to see what it was. A figure was in the light. "Dramatic opening! I give him an "A" for that!" whispered Lolbit. Yenndo rolled his eyes. I squinted my eyes, trying to find out who the figure in the light was. "Is that... who I think it is...?" I heard Ballora gasp, "That couldn't be him. Oh, Lolbit, you silly fox...!"
The figure came down the aisle and walked on the stage, stepping in front of me. Ballora cupped her hands together. I looked in surprise. "Ennard...?" His wiry arms and legs were still the same, but he was wearing a metal snap-on leotard. It was red, green, and white. He even had a yellow rose in his mouth! Ennard held out his hand and gurgled at me. "Yes," I placed my hand in his, "We may have this dance."
Ennard twirled me and spun me around in the air. I looked down at him and laughed. He threw me in the air, took me by my hands, and slid me under his legs. I came up, spun around a little, and made a fancy pose. The animatronics laughed and cheered. Ennard wiggled his ears and blushed. I was about to run into his arms when he charged at me, took me into his arms, and held me the way the dancers on Dancing with the Stars do on TV. He stared into my eyes, and I did the same. Ballora and Baby gasped at what was to come next.

My head was being supported by Ennard's right hand, and my leg was being held by his left hand. He had his longest wire wrapped around my waist to hold me. Ennard wiggled his ears as he held the rose in his mouth. Everyone was on the edge of their seats, even Baby, and she was standing up! I was so surprised when Ennard moved some of my hair and placed the rose in it, that I began to sing:
"Don't you dare look back,
Just keep your eyes on me,
He said 'You're holdin' back',
I said 'Shut up, and dance with me',
This robot is my destiny,
I said 'Ooh, hoo,
'Shut up and dance with me."
Ennard blushed and moved closer to my face, resulting in a kiss.

In front of EVERYONE.

The animatronics gasped and Lolbit fainted on Yenndo. After 5 minutes of shock, they all began to clap, cheer, and roar. Baby leaped on the stage. "Thank you all for coming!" She bowed with the rest of us on stage. Lolbit and Foxy hugged each other, fake crying. "SO BEAUTIFUL! OH HO HO!!!😂" "Wow," Yenndo repeated, "Why do I hang out with you guys?"
