8. Beautiful (Fluff)

Altean!Lance and Garla!Keith AU

Lance listened to his sister bicker with one of her bodyguards, he got tired of it, he decided to speak up about the situation. "Oh my gosh Allura!" Lance stands up from his seat and walks towards the door while saying, "Just hurry up and kiss already!" Lance walked out of the room, but bumping into someone on the way out.

"O-Oh!" Lance is taken aback and looks the Garla soldier in the eye, Lance can't help but think, 'Wow, what a beautiful shade of purple...', Lance smiles before the short Garla soldier bows in the presence of a prince. "Good evening your highness." Lance just laughs, "You can call me Lance." Lance says sorry for bumping into him and continues walking.

"Oh! I'm here to see you actually!" The soldier makes his way after the silver haired man, Lance stops when he is called after. "I'm Keith, I'm your bodyguard from now on." Keith bows again, Lance just laughs before using his finger to raise his head to look at him. "Stop bowing, I'm not my mother or father and I'm certainly not Allura." Lance just smiles before walking off, hearing footsteps behind him, he just sighs before exiting the castle, "Um... Lance..." Keith speaks up before following him through a garden and into a field of flowers.

Lance just smirks and walks more farther away from the castle. "I like it out here." Lance smiles before laying down on the ground to look up at the sky. Keith just crouches next to Lance, wondering what the hell he was doing. Lance just exhales deeply after taking a big breath. "It makes me feel like a normal person, not being royalty or anything." Keith just examines the Prince, he can't help but wonder what it would be like to be normal. "I can be who ever I want, I can do what ever I want without being criticized by family or the rest of Altea." Lance takes off his crown and look at it. "I always imagine if there is copies of us from another world." Lance smiles before he throws his crown at Keith. "I want to find love, since I'm Prince, it will never come to be." Lance lays there for a few minutes while Keith look at the scenery. Lance smiles before he sits up, "I just hope the reincarnations of us will find love and be happy for me." Lance gets up before leaving Keith behind.

Lance returns to the castle alone because Keith was so in thought, and Keith thought about it deeply. He realized that Lance was struggling. He couldn't be himself, he couldn't find love, and he certainly couldn't be normal. Keith walked up to Lance's room to see Shiro standing in front, "Where were you? You left your duty." Keith just shakes his head and walks into Lance's room. He sees Lance out on the balcony looking up at the stars. Keith walks to where his crown is always placed. He puts it down, then walks over to Lance with a sad smile.

"You know, I'm not going to be your body guard." Keith speaks up and Lance turns around with a surprised look on his face. "I'm going to be your friend..." Keith leans on the rail and decides to have a civil conversation.

After a few hours, Lance was happy for once in his life, it was all because of Keith.

"You know, you need to wear something other than your suit." Lance drags Keith over to his huge ass closet. Keith just laughs and watches Lance pick out clothing. There ends up being a huge clothing fight. Lance is running around the closet trying to get away from Keith. Lance trips and drags Keith down with him. They both laugh and just lay there. They just smile at each other before they were rudely interrupted by Allura.

"What's going on in here?" Allura steps over a bunch of clothes and Keith sits up trying to fix his, well, Lance's clothing. "Are those Lance's clothes?" Allura looks at Lance who has this grin on his face. "Ah-um..." Keith scratches the back of his head and looks away from embarrassment. "They are..." Keith just looks at Lance, and trying not to laugh. Allura opens her mouth about to say something, until she realized how happy Lance was. Both Keith and Lance were gone by that point, they were laughing and Keith fell to the floor laughing.

Allura backs out of the room, leaving both of them to have their time together. Allura walks out into the hallway to see Shiro, "Have you seen Keith?" Shiro stops Allura, she just smiles and nods, "I did, him and Lance are in the closet at the moment." Allura laughs before walking past Shiro and he just stands there confused and questioning why they would be in the closet.

Maybe Lance already found love...
