Hayley
The party room had a small window right opposite the wall that had the door. There was a crevice made by the window and the walls. In that crevice, there was a tiny cozy couch that could be hidden by curtains.
We didn't have curtains. We didn't even have fairy lights, we needed tons of fairy lights.
Today was Shopping Saturday. K had a night shift, Jess took the store van and told his dad he wouldn't come and Looney and I were absolutely unoccupied for the rest of the day. We called Elaine and she gave us the green light. She was feeling left out but we kept sending her snaps to keep her in the loop. We haven't even met her but we missed her dearly. She should've been a part of this process.
The Welcome Elaine and Get Jesse Laid party was in 2 days and we were pumped.
We armed ourselves with credit cards, parked in the marketplace and marched with purpose. Everything was just so expensive. Luckily, we chanced upon a flea market like the Gods had heard our prayers. I noticed a stall with linen and dragged Looney along and we were also given the job to find a center table, the boys went to buy a cabinet and sofa cushions.
We mixed and matched odd pieces, like ourselves.
"Let's get one of those patterned bedsheets like we saw on Pinterest to put on one wall?" I suggested.
"Of course," Luna understood what I needed without further explanation.
We got a black bohemian patterned bedsheet and peacock blue curtains to put on the windows.
The guys got cushions with different patterns; a solid hot pink one, one with multi coloured patches, an equally blue and green one and a few more.
I was bubbling with excitement, visualizing what the room would turn out like.
We found a rectangular center table with a glass top and four wooden legs. With our jobs done, we lugged our stuff to the boys when Jess mentioned, "We haven't seen any cabinets around yet."
I locked each of my arms with both of the boys on either sides, "Well well, we have a mission at our hands, don't we?"
The three of us stomped forward with our arms linked, following Luna around. I was surprisingly attached and protective about my boys already. My boys.
Kabir
Fuck, she was hot.
Luna was walking in front of us. Wearing a white strappy sundress, patched with yellow sunflowers that clung to her butt. Her long brown locks reached the small of her back and she had chocolate brown eyes that lit up everything around her.
Her demeanor was easy, she didn't have to make an effort to make people like her and spill their guts 10 seconds into knowing her.
"Lunes," I called out, "Walk with us."
"You guys are so slow," she grumbled loudly and waved her hands to dismiss us. I untangled from Hayley and ran up to her.
"Hey, stay with us," it came out in a low rather flirty voice, probably because I was thinking of her butt a split second ago.
"There, I see one." She ignored me and walked over to a dark oakwood cabinet with glass doors and concluded, "This is it."
