It was hard telling their parents a lie about what had happened. That Morticia and Raven had gotten to the roof of the school. And that they were doing silly stunts on the ledge before Morticia had fallen off.  But they couldn't exactly tell them that some giant beetle creature had done it. They probably wouldn't have believed either of their daughters. And they'd probably never trust them again.

When they were done telling the made up story,  Peggy spoke. She told Morticia that her grounding would last until her bones healed. That she wasn't going to be allowed to use her laptop or cell phone. Or have her sketchbook. It was pretty harsh but she figured that it could be way worse. Her mother could've prevented her from seeing her girlfriend. At least they let her have that. And as they laid on her bed, she asked,"So how bad do you think that would've been if she knew the truth?"

"You'd be grounded until you were fifty and not allowed to see me.",Raven answered. Even though it wasn't entirely either of their fault. They would still be in pretty hot water. In a calm voice, Morticia asked,"So. Since I can't move all that much, should we just watch movies and stuff?"

"Can we snuggle too?",Raven asked. Glancing at Morticia, she wondered if it would be comfortable for her. She didn't want to jostle the casts or cause her discomfort. And she'd rather not unintentionally hurt her girlfriend. It was a small moment before Morticia answered,"Yeah. We can definitely snuggle while we watch a movie."

"Awesome. Now what should we watch?",she asked. Getting up, she hurried to Morticia's wall of DVDs. She glanced them over as she thought of what to watch. There were several Friday the thirteenth movies. Even the really silly ones that made no sense. Along with other big horror movie monsters. But one that stuck out to her was the DVD for Stephen King's 'IT'. Looking over at Morticia carefully, she guessed that she wouldn't want to see that. Since they essentially fought a baby version of the horror author's monster. So she grabbed 'Crimson Peak' instead and popped it into the DVD player.

Laying back down next to her girlfriend, Raven kissed her cheek. Then she asked,"Do you think we can ever watch some of Stephen King's stuff without cringing?"

"Probably not for a very long time.",Morticia answered. Truth be told, she wasn't sure that she wanted to keep the movie. It was somewhat hard wanting it after everything they'd gone through. Though a part of her wanted to keep it. Mostly due to the fact that she hated giving up any of her stuff. Every horror thing she ever owned was too precious for her to give up. Even if the damnable thing reminded her of something that happened to her. Her interest in them was one of the reasons she didn't give up her ghost movies. Or any of her zombie flicks. Hell, she still had Young Frankenstein on her shelves. Not a horror movie exactly but still had horror elements in it. And as she laid next to her girlfriend, she said,"I still can't bring myself to give it away though."

"Why not?",Raven asked. To her, this seemed fairly weird. And she couldn't bring herself to imagine why Morticia couldn't. If it was herself, she'd sell it in a heartbeat. Maybe even just toss the damn thing into the trash. Her eyebrows raised when her girlfriend answered,"Stephie gave me it for my birthday a couple years back. I think it'd probably hurt her feelings if I threw it away or sold it."

"Considering she beat the monster's face in with a bat?",Raven offered. Morticia glanced up at her with a slight blush. And she continued,"I think she'd probably understand that you'd be uncomfortable with it."

"Still, it's my stuff and I don't wanna give it up.",she muttered. That was weird but she couldn't force her. It wasn't exactly something that she understood. But she wasn't going to make a big deal out of a movie. Especially one that they weren't going to be seeing. And as they watched the movie, she asked,"Do you ever wonder what Trevor would've done if your sister had watched your Grandparents' place instead of you?"

"I dunno...I guess he would just linger there until someone helped him.",Morticia answered. Looking at Raven, she wondered what had brought that up. And she asked,"What's the interest in Trevor?"

"Just thinking is all...this movie kinda makes me think of him sometimes.",Raven admitted. It made sense to Morticia. The movie wasn't anywhere near similar as to what happened to them. But it had some things that made her think of him. The very sad ghost along with the abusive asshole Dad were kind of like him. They were sort of like what Trevor and his Father, Ambrose had become. Except that Trevor wasn't really able to speak to them. And Ambrose wasn't anything like the antagonist of the film. As far as both girls knew he wasn't. What puzzled her was how no one noticed it before her. It was like a bad plot hole that she couldn't get over. As she watched the movie, she said,"I kinda wondered why he hadn't been able to reach anyone before us. I guess we're more in tune with ghosts than them."

"Maybe. Or maybe Trevor likes goth girls more than prep girls.",Raven teased. Laughing a little, Morticia joked,"Eyup. He waited who knows how long to get free cuz he wanted to see a goth chick!"

Both of them laughed as they pictured him saying that. It wasn't that funny but it was the only sorta 'funny' thing they'd heard of since Halloween. And as they started to wind down, she said,"We should make something nice for Rebecca. She really saved our asses when she cleaned up that mess."

"I was thinking that we could hang out with her more.",Raven suggested. That sounded pretty fair to Morticia. Rebecca had risked getting in a lot of trouble to help them. So it would only be fair that she get to hang out with them. Checking the time on the clock on her wall, she noticed it was almost ten at night. In a soft voice, she asked,"Wanna have her come over tomorrow night?"

"Sounds good to me.",Raven said. As they watched the movie, they smiled. And they hoped that they wouldn't see anymore monsters. At least not for another few years.
