I woke up in the morning stunned by the dream I had.

Why am I having these dreams and visions of the past now? I've always had short glimpses of the future. Why now?

I pulled up in the school parking lot and into a parking space still confused.

"Why is this happening to me?" I asked myself allowed.

"If you weren't so infuriating you would know that by now," I heard Jackson say.

Damn, how does he pop up everywhere like that?

"If you weren't so short fused I would know something by now," I said.

Jackson just smirked at my response.

"If you want to blow off school and follow me then I will be happy to tell you all you need to know." Jackson said.

"I can't blow off school," I said.

"You are just like Evangeline," Jackson scoffed.

I was brimming with rage.

"I may look like her but I am NOT her! I am my own person and I can skip school if I want." I said.

"Then come on," Jackson said while walking away. I got out of the car and locked it.

"Are you kidding me? How cliché." I laughed as I saw Jackson get on a motor cycle.

"I've been riding horseback for centuries, I could never get used to cars and motor cycles are the closest thing to feeling like you are riding a horse," Jackson said.

•••••••

I knew he was going to take me here. To the tree where he took Evangeline. I didn't know how I knew, I just did.

"You've seen this tree before," Jackson guessed.

"I dreamed about it last night," I said.

"It wasn't a dream," Jackson said.

"Huh?" I asked.

"You are remembering. Which means I won't have to tell you, you will remember with time," Jackson said.

"How can I remember something that has never happened to me?" I asked.

"Oh, but it has." Jackson said.

"Please tell me," I pleaded Jackson.

Jackson raised an eyebrow at me.

"I feel like I don't know who I am anymore. I'm losing my grip on reality. I don't sleep anymore. So if you tell me anything that might improve the situation that I am in right now, you would make things a whole lot better,"

Jackson hesitated.

"The blooms are beautiful this time of year." He said.

"Evangeline thought so, too. We would come here and marvel at it. Under this tree became our meeting place, our hide out." Jackson said.

Something twinkled in Jackson's eyes I never saw before. Was it love? Or pain? Or is love and pain the same thing?

"Tell me what you're thinking. I've never heard you be so quiet before. I think it's a miracle," Jackson chuckled.

"I'm just trying to figure you out," I said honestly.

"You're a vampire. You are supposed to be a vicious killer. But here you are, telling me about a girl that you knew long ago and I still don't know how you feel about her. Tell me. Tell me everything," I pleaded.

Jackson's face was unreadable. I saw a solid face, he was trying to hide his emotions.

"There. You ARE feeling an emotion. But our trying to hide it. So she hurt you," I said.

Jackson's jaw clenched.

"Jackson please," I whispered.

No reply.

I walked over to the tree and climbed up on a branch closest to the ground.

"Since you aren't going to tell me a story. I'll tell you one," I said.

"There once was a girl. She was lonely, she was different. That's why people excluded her. Because she was different and didn't know how to interact." I began.

"One day, people were talking about there relationships and who they loved. They asked her 'Who do you love?' She didn't know how to answer. She didn't know want to tell them she didn't know what love was," I said.
