(Percy POV)

As soon as I was asleep I found myself falling into a circular room. A desk was in the center, while shelves filled with knick-knacks lined the walls. In front of me was a rainbow, an Iris message. And the person on the other end was Chiron.

"Hello, Chiron. What brings you to contact me after all this time?" said a voice behind me. I turned to see a severe woman in flowing green robes.

"My campers and I just came out of a war, during which I realized that separation was never the answer, Minerva," responded the centaur.

"Odd. We just came out of a war ourselves. Do you think...?" the woman who I assumed was Minerva trailed off.

"I don't know. Already the crooked one and his army have been defeated and just now the great earth and her offspring, as well as the pit. We need to unite," responded Chiron.

"What do you think comes next?" shuddered the woman.

"I feel that we are done for now, but we should begin to develop relations. I will be sending my best campers to make peace. They will go as wizards until solid bonds have been formed and then reveal themselves." Chiron stroked his chin.

"How will they fit in if they can't perform magic?" Minerva asked.

"You of all people should know that due to their parentage they will be more than capable of performing magic, Daughter of Eunomia. What I'm worried about is privacy, monsters, and sacrifices." Chiron's eyes confirmed his worries.

"They, of course, have to be sorted for their schedules and tables, but I can give them a different tower. As for monsters, we have a barrier. And I will provide a fire so they can sacrifice their food. I look forward to meeting them." Minerva swiped her hand through the Iris message. She looked at a painting on the wall of the round study and asked, "Albus, what am I going to do?"

The man depicted only smiled secretively. Then the room shuddered. I crouched down to find the stone floor was gone, just the loose dirt of Tartarus. I glanced up, the walls were gone too. There was only the red, soupy sky above me and his skin below me. I reached into my pocket, but riptide was gone.

"Percy!" I whirled around to see my mom bleeding from a stab wound, "Why couldn't you save me?"

"I-I." I couldn't move. Suddenly, she morphed into a dying Grover.

"Why didn't you find me? You're supposed to be a hero!" he shouted. I couldn't speak. He turned into Bianca.

"It should have been you! I could still be alive! I could have lived if you had stopped me!" The taste of salt flooded my taste buds, the tears burning their way down my cheek. Then came Zoe.

"Thou could have done something! It is because of thee that I died!" Her face became Nico's.

"You let my sister die! You made me suffer! You broke your promise!" Then came Lee Fletcher, Castor, Daedalus, and then Beckendorf. That one hit hard. Michael Yew, Leneus, Selina. I was full on sobbing. Ethan, Luke... Luke. Gwen, Kinzie, Phoebe, Naomi, Celyn, faces of past classmates and strangers and friends alike all blurring together. Then came Damasen and Bob. I sank to my knees; other than that I couldn't move. Leo, Piper, Jason, Frank, and Hazel. All screaming at me, blaming me for their pain. Pain that I should've prevented, taken on, done something to take it away. The final face was Annabeth's.

"Why?" she screamed at me, "Why did you have to put me in danger? Why did you have to show up and wreck my life? You dragged me along, insisted I come, put me in danger, just because you couldn't be strong enough..." Annabeth went on and on, her voice dripping with acid and hate. Yelling about how I was the one who put her in harm's way. Her words wormed their way into my head, enveloping every thought I had until there was just one; it's my fault. Until...
