(Chris POV)

Ever since that night, things have been moving fast for me. It seems like I've been busy every day but hey this is what I signed up for. I had tutoring, vocal lessons, interview training, dance rehearsals, studio sessions and mini showcases to get some buzz going bout me. Sweets has been supportive through it all. Since she is in between gigs she has been working on writing songs and finishing up her classes for her degree. My baby is so ambitious! She really has become my heart and she makes me feel like I can really do this big! I'm ready and my goal is to be as big as MJ one day. I just gotta put in the work!

In February I finally got the go to start recording for my actual album. I got hooked up with some big names too. I was too excited to work with Scott Storch and The Underdogs. And I finally got the chance to work with one of my favorite singers, Tank! That's CRAZY! We got some heat too. They really took the time to get to know me, hang out, play ball and they even don't have a problem with Sweets being at the sessions because they said our relationship could be the best inspiration. I really been working hard on honing my writing and with Sweets's help it has come naturally.

As far as me and Sweets go we're closer than ever. Our birthday came in May and we had so much fun! It was crazy because Sweets is 18 now but shit that ain't matter because I knew how to handle my business and I did it WELL! I was Daddy..HA! But being 16 still sucked cause I couldn't chill with her like I wish I could've if I was older. Hell I been on punishment more than a few times for sneaking out! But hey I had to be with her cause I was hooked! We would sneak off at the studio sometimes so we could get it in! Hey it was like if she wanted it I was gonna make sure she was satisfied! I'm glad that the producers don't mind tho but Tina, she didn't like it at all. She thinks I'm too young to be in a serious relationship right now and thinks it will throw me off focus. What she doesn't realize is Sweets is my biggest motivation to stay on track! Momma was back and forth between VA and NY so mostly I had to follow what Tina said...but please I'm not leaving Sweets alone! So she gone have to deal with it!

It was now August and my album was done! They were releasing my single RUN IT to the radio soon! I was too excited! I had had some days to chill out before I started press and promo for the single. But I was pissed cause I was on punishment. For what? Sneaking out, AGAIN! But shit, it was worth it cause I had Sweets screaming my name all night long that night, HA! I was mad cause Momma took my phone. I couldn't talk to nobody and the house phone was monitored like I was in jail!

"CHRIS...CHRIS GET UP HERE!" I heard Momma and Tina screaming from upstairs.

"Man...What now..." I mumbled as I went up the stairs.

"BABY YOU'RE ON THE RADIO!" Momma said jumping up and down as I walked into the living room "OH MY GOD....OH MY GOD! She was in tears.

"What?" I asked in shock.

"LISTEN... LISTEN!" Tina said running to turn up the radio.

As I listened, RUN IT was coming out the speakers. I couldn't believe it was my voice! Before I could think or say anything the house phone and Tina's phone started blowing up!

I was still in shock all I could do was hug Momma and cry a little. All my hard work had paid off. 3 years of working hard and I had finally made it to Hot 97! I thanked God in a silent prayer and then began to jump up and down!

"YEEEEEEEEEAAA! I'M ON THE RADIO!!....AAAAAHHHAHAHA!" I said running around then falling on the floor.

Tina was getting call after call. That's when I realized I had to call Sweets and TJ! Momma let me get my phone. 35 missed calls, 10 voicemails and 19 texts!

Everybody I knew in NY had been blowing me up. Before I could call anybody the door bell rang so I ran to open it. When I opened the door Sweets was standing there in tears so I just grabbed her and jumped up and down! Behind her was TJ, Moe, Shay, DeMarcus and Keisha. They were all yelling and jumping up and down.

"Oh my God Baby you're on the radio!" Sweets said wiping her tears.

"I know..I can't even belive this...I don't have the words." I said to her as we sat on the stoop.

"Man this is crazy son...My homie finally on the radio!" TJ said.

"Yea man...This don't even seem real." I said smiling.

"Well you bout to blow up now cause Jalissa just text me and said they're playin it again Bro!" Shay said.

"Oh shit! That was only like 10 minutes ago!" I said not believing it.

It's on now!

"Chris I need you to come in here so I can talk to you." Tina said coming to the door.

"Aight." I told her. "So what ya'll bout to get into?" I asked the group.

"We probably bout to head to the movies...You still grounded Superstar?" Keisha said with a stank face.

"Hell yea...This shits wack!" I said remembering I was still stuck in the house.

"You get off tomorrow don't you?" Sweets asked.

"Yea but I still wanna celebrate...I was just on the radio!" I said jumping up.

"Well we'll do that tomorrow." She said hugging me.

"I wanna do more than that tomorrow." I said kissing her and grabbing her ass.

"Eww ya'll need a room!" Keisha said with the stank face. She just mad because I never wanted her.

Whatever!

"Don't hate on their Young Love Young Love Young Looooove." Shay sang one of my songs off key as we all laughed.

"Yeah but man Shay don't be messin up my song now...Soundin like a cat cryin." I joked

"F you Breeze!" Shay said flipping me off and laughing.

"CHRIS!" Tina said from the door again.

"I'm comin!" I said to her.

"Well we bout to roll...Congrats again my nig." TJ said.

"Thanks my nig...I'll hit ya'll tomorrow." I said to TJ giving him dap.

They all started to walk off and I grabbed Sweets hand.

"Aye is Bette gonna be home tonight?" I said.

"No...Why? What's up?" She asked curiously.

"Cause I'll be over at 1." I said pulling her close to me.

"Chris you're gonna get grounded again!" She whispered but smiled.

"Iont care...I miss you." I said kissing her. "Just leave the window cracked cause yeah I'm missin that." I said grabbing her ass.

"Stop crazy!" She said hitting my chest lightly. "Ok but if you get caught that's on you."

"I got this aight you just be ready for Daddy." I said biting my lip.

"Daddy huh?" She asked stepping back smiling.

"Yeah you know it." I said making a sexy face at her.

"I do...Now go before Mean-a comeback out here." She said wrinkling her nose.

"Aight." I said laughing at her name for Tina and kissing her again. "I made it Baby."

"My Superstar." She said kissing me lightly.

Man this was the best day of my life.
